Teams Facing Playoff Elimination in Week 3

Since 1990, there have only been 3 teams start 0-3 and make it to the playoffs. Not the highest percentage around. As of now, there are 8 teams in that position. Jacksonville bailed out with a win last night. The teams are:

Carolina. They lost their first 2 games at home. Newton looks uninterested and rumors have it that this is his last season in Carolina. HC Rivers may be right behind him.

Cincinnati. September is normally QB Dalton's best month. A loss at red hot Buffalo probably spells doom for the Bengals this season.

Denver. With two losses, one against the Raiders and the other a total shocker against the Bears, the Broncos are in big trouble. A game at Green Bay this week certainly does not help matters.

Miami. What can be said? The Fish have a better chance of finishing 0-16 than making the playoffs. This team is terrible from top to bottom.

New York Giants. The Eli Manning era is over. The new kid on the block, QB Daniel Jones will have to figure out a way to put points on the board. That starts at Tampa on Sunday.

New Your Jets. The Jets offense just got a lot worse with the loss of both QB's. The good news for both them and the Dolphins is that they play each other twice. Maybe we have a pair of 1-15 finishers,

Pittsburgh. A team that was rather questionable going in now must operate without their All Pro QB. They do play in a weak conference and have a rather easy schedule, so who knows? Even if they lose to San Francisco on Sunday, they still have the best chance to sneak in of all of the 0-3 teams.

Washington. This team has to find something to resemble a defense. They have given up 63 points in their first two games. If they cannot stop the woeful Bears offense on Monday night, Jay Gruden may be looking for a job on Tuesday.

To me Cincinnati is my top pick of The weekend. Bills aren’t really that good. Bengals should take them.
