Why was Gronk on the field during the last play?

Funny how no one mentions it when bill makes a bad move

He was there for the anticipated Hail Mary, with his height he could defend it in the endzone, which would have probably led to him getting hurt. Instead he looked like a big goofus trying to make a tackle.

Let's face it Bill made a bad decision. He did it in the Superbowl as well.

Kinda like pats running the clock down inside the 5 instead of going for a td. Bill thought he was fakkin genius kicking a fg with 30 secs to go. If they punched it in they would have been up 9. Game over

That's fine but this was a dumb decision and it cost them home field for sure and maybe even a bye

With all the losses still in the drivers seat for 2 seed.

He made three huge errors in the game. That deep shot when a first would've ended it with kneels, then not going for it with 19 seconds left leaving the dolphins worst case on their own 4 yard line, then gronk in game with 70 yards to go

in his defense that play has less than a 1% chance of working. Gronk is part of the hail mary defense team. probably will be replaced by josh gordon in that department.

Maybe if wonderboy Josh actually tried to score a TD 1st and goalfrom the 5 ?
TD seals the W for sure.
I get the clock management. Leave them nothing. BUT Pitt almost ran one in with 15 seconds, 70yds and 1 play. TODAY.
The staff as a whole could have done a lot better to close it out.
Kinda shit other coaches usually pull.

It would seem smarter to have defenders that know how to tackle on the field when it is from the opposing teams 30 yd line as opposed to mid field and in where the throw will be in the end zone

I have the metrics in front of me.

15 regular starting NFL QB's can throw the ball 70 yards on the fly.
Found it interesting that Joe Flacco has the leagues third strongest arm, but bottom tiered in accuracy.
Also found it interesting that most of the old time QB's can still throw 70 yards. (Brees, Ryan, Rivers)

Brees and Ryan ain't chucking that thing 70 with pads on in a game. Hell no. I'll bet my house on it.

I'm surprised he didn't have linemen playing defense on that play. Couldn't have made it more obvious he was throwing the game smh

I saw that but Miami was on their own 25?? Why not just blitz. Who can throw it 80 yards to begin with let alone get anything clean off in under 3.5 seconds?

    Belichick messed up

Gronk didn't expect it to come down to him making the tackle. lol He totally wasn't ready.

Can you imagine being someone like his size.... and you're like OH FU#$.... I have to make this tackle... And you WHIFF IT Literally hung out to dry.

How come the cameras didn't zoom in on Belichick right after that? LOL Would of loved to see his face.

Billdo has been throwing games left and right since shannahan laid down in the super bowl for him. you people are morons. this was fixed. Gronk was out there to be mocked. he is done for. he is exposed. The pats will lose to houston in the divisional round. I could have told you this weeks ago. And I haven't seen more than 2 games in the past 2 years combined.
