So I have a local, Baker Mayfield odds were at +1200 at 8am...so bet it.

Now he's saying it was mislisted and should hAve been -350....
Anyone have a resource to confirm the odds at this time?

i posted odds in one of the threads cuz i was following mayfields odds fall fast

i posted this at 6:12 am and the odds on mayfield had dropped from +500 a few mins before


swear i was looking at this line 5 minutes ago and it was +500

i got this feeling the browns are taking mayfield

i'm not sure how you can prove it unless there is some place that keeps track of line movements for props i copied the lines directly from 5dimes website and posted it here but if you were talking about 8 am eastern time he def wasn't -300 then but alot less than +1200

If the rumblings were out then the line was stale. Tough for books to keep up with that on those kinds of specials.

Props always get bet down when there is an angle.. I've seen that happen in MMA so many times over the years...

That's why you gotta stay on props and pay attention when they first come out.. You fall asleep you lose value.. Just that simple...

It's not easy or fun to browse thru 100's of props in all sports every morning trust me.. Political props too.. I don't stay on it like I should.. That could be the difference between making bank and little bank though

I'd kill for a new prop value alert thread in all sports that was NOT open to the public.. Pro gamblers staying on it only.. So many team and player props in all the major sports that are missed daily for value....

I understood the post I just was posting in general and outside the box and thinking of prop value decreasing immediately when the line value is obviously off when it first comes out...

I know you got screwed out of your original placing betting odds. I've been bumped off bets before just like you did.. It happens with books. I usually just got refunded though and the bet was cancelled out.

Old days u could hit them when shit like today happened but then they tightened up to point the rules will state "if bet made after public knowledge it is void".

But if he thinks you intentionally took a shot at him he's probably going to be a hard ass about it. Probably why he quoted you the horrible -350 in the first place.

Good insight! I'm not too worried about it but thought I'd try and see what options there were. Me and a few buddies all use this guy and only have been for a month so wanted to see if he was pulling BS on us

Same exact thing happened to me yesterday

As the rumor mill was swirling mayfield was still listed in the +450 range so I bet it only to have a message saying the bet was cancelled bc correct odds were -200

One of the cons of playing with locals as they've cancelled bets like that with me before

The worst feeling is when they actually hit like last night

Some examples I can recall right away was an nba playoff series last yr that had Memphis grizzlies as a +50000 underdog against San Antonio instead of +5000. I grabbed Memphis with intentions of hedging for a 20k profit before it was cancelled

Another one was a small superbowl halftime show prop bet where lady Gaga sang 2 verses of the national anthem before going into pokerface. The bet was pokerface as the first song and it was initially graded as a +400 win before being changed to a loss

This wouldn't be hard to build as a service, the problem is getting accurate and timely data from the books without paying an arm and a leg.

If the guy pays you at -350 , and he probably will, be mad, but work to beat him in the future by having a 2nd and if possible a 3rd local. Sharpen your odds and improve your playing %. Don't leave him, beat him. Once you do, that shortstop will cut you off. And even if he does pay you, still get a 2nd bookie. Just the fact that he mentioned it tells you all you need to know about the guy.
There are few better feelings when using a bookie than to get cut off. It feels great !

My locals subscribe to a website that is a separate entity as I'm sure yours does as well. I'm pretty sure they cancelled all the bets from the root server in my case which means the website your bookie uses either forgot or didn't care to

Either way if it's there and unchanged on the graded wagers he should absolutely be liable

I do both, they each have their pros and cons. I personally prefer the locals
