Do Books Lines Not Adding Up Mean Anything?

Example...Bookmaker...Tonight Packers are -2 -110....i can buy 2 points to make it pk @ -140.... GB ML is -130....doesnt make sense to me...any insight on why the buying 2 points to pk wouldnt be the same odds as the ml? Maybe im overthinking it...

You are comparing Apples to Oranges. A side wager and a ML wager are two totally different wagers. Example. Green Bay is -2 1/2 at many shops in Vegas. Most of those shops have them at -140 on the ML, but one has them at -130. The same 2 1/2 point spread but a different ML. Buying hooks to buy down a side is a very expensive way to do business. It is also a losing way to do business.
