bet small on Carolina ML say $200

or take Seattle ATS and try to really profit off Seattle like $550 or $1,100

or do nothing with this game and just watch


Just curious from a strategy perspective what you guys would do or recommend...

i feel like i am in a good position but i dont want to fukk up a chance to atleast win my money back.

my bet on Seattle is $800 to win $4,800

all the confidence i read on this forum about people liking the Panthers to pull the upset have me thinking maybe i should make a move of some sort to make sure i am not depressed if the Panthers win.

I think your 800 bet looks good. I would remain calm at the moment... and possibly think about hedging later. I'm confident Seattle win this week. It all depends how important that 800 is to you.

Interesting dilemma.

I have a similar situation but nowhere near as good as yours. I have $100 on Balt. to win the Superbowl at 25/1 plus another $100 at 31/1. When I made the bet (Thanksgiving) I knew for sure Balt. would have to go through New England and then likely through Denver. If i didn't believe they could and would beat those teams, I never would have made the bet. If they do, Seattle is a whole different story, will need some major things to go my way. Some DALLASESQUE type things maybe,

How I'm playing it.

So for me, it's only a couple hundy, no big deal. I'm not even going to bet the game this weekend probably even though i think Balt. has a serious shot to beat NE straight up. It will be exciting enough for me from an action perspective. I think Seattle is the better spot for a wager for me this weekend and thats where my money is going.

Having said all that, if Balt. makes the Superbowl I will definitely hedge probably between 5-10%. I WILL NOT hedge before the Superbowl. Thats just me man, whatever you choose to do GOOD LUCK (until I see you in the Superbowl, then we drop the gloves!!! lol)

Lol @ cam beating Seattle d, in Seattle no less. Car d maybe keep it close to cover. Even if u hedge now they still got 2 more games after this one against tougher opps. Besides when everyone likes one side it's usually good to be on the other.

Yeah man basically i got $800 on this and only about $500 remaining bankroll that i can afford to gamble with... got rent paid off for the month but i am def living pay check to pay check...

i have the dreamer mentality and i am out in vegas this weekend with my remaining $500 roll... if i lose that i wont be betting anymore until maybe March Madness.

.. i guess i would take satisfaction in having the Seahawks in the NFC championship with 2 games remaining. If Seahawks lose Saturday and i dont bet at all i am going to be on full tilt with that remaining $500 .

But yeah if i were to put all $500 on Panthers +10.5 or 11 and they get blown out i will feel like an idiot.

Ideally i would love to make some money on these 4 games this weekend and have Seahawks win and then have the opportunity to hedge next week against either Green Bay or Dallas

and then there is Ohio State that i want to bet on too so i dont know what the best strategy is

Tough spot but...

if youre leaning heavily one way or the other on the green bay or denver games, and if not NE, why not just watch the NE game which is the first game, watch Seattle cuz technically u already have action on it. Then maybe play a little with the Sunday games if you really really like something?

you could also put just a little just in case money on the panthers if it keeps your head right.

Because you feel so strongly about Ohio , if it were me, one of the first things i would do is bet that game down there just in case. It would be a nightmare not to have any left for that.

Just my .02 on how I might do it if it were me feeling that way and being in Vegas.

PS-if you're looking for great cheap food and if you havent been there before go to Ellis Islad casino over on Koval rd. Its a 5 min walk from Bally's going east. This place cannot be beat for a great cheap meal, dinner or breakfast.

You need to get a players card first, then you plug it in to a machine near the restaurant, push a button and it says U WIN. There are three choises, steak special/bbq something ( they have a bbq restaurant in there ive never tried and some other choice. )

For $8 you get a top sirloin steak, green beans with garlic, choice of potatoe, baked, mashed fries, salad and a 20 oz beer ( brewed on the property and really good) . No joke, this is the best value for food in Vegas, PERIOD! I go to Vegas 2-3 times a year. I was there in November on a solo trip for 11 days and ate there probably 5 times.

They also serve the best full on breaky ive had in vegas. 2 eggs/ hash browns/toast/ ny strip steak ( im not kidding, this steak is good and cooked how you ask for it)for about 6 bucks. If they think youre a cab driver , it's $4.46. I was wearing a down vest and cap, i guess cabbies wear that down there..lol

One of the best pizza joints in town is also in there. You can buy full pies or slices-its called Metro Pizza

I have about $1200 on Seattle to win the NFC and SB from preseason on bodog. 8.5 and 5.0 odds respectively. I am not hedging.. It could bite me in the ass of course, but I prefer not to hedge unless I think I am getting better than average value on the other side. In the long run never hedging will give you the same result as hedging every time. In this case specifically I do not see GB winning this game and think Seattle could walk away with it in the 4th like they did last week, except without the late score where they stopped playing fundamental D and sold out for every int. Making the spread a bad play as well. In the superbowl against NE however I'll prob look to cash out some value as I think that's a more 50-50 matchup and seattle will be coming in as a decent favorite.
