The decline of a once proud franchise can be traced back 10 years to a horrible track record of both selection and development of young players. Yes the coaching staff is important to the process, but if the quality of talent he has to work with is suspect, you will never regain that success. Believe me, as a life long Dolphin fan I have no love for the Raiders, but it is a sad state of affairs. Lord knows we fans of the Fish have had many lean years in the recent past as well as our share of nonsense, but Oakland is still looking like a rudderless ship on the sea, with little if any hope for the immediate future.
When I was a kid, seemed like it was always either Pittsburgh, Miami, or Oakland to vi for who would represent the AFC in the Bowl. My how the mighty have fallen. Could you imagine Tampa Bay going to Pitt and beating them the way they did back in the day??? Never happen...
