    MNF Play

    at

Talk about not getting any respect! The Broncos lost for the first time this season and all of a sudden they're home underdogs on national TV. The Broncos were slaughtered at Baltimore last week, coming off a bye, but they should rebound at home against the Steelers, who have had issues holding off opponents late in games this season.

This ought to be a solid contest, as the Steelers are battling with Cincy and Baltimore for the AFC North lead, while the Broncos need to keep winning, especially if San Diego knocks off the Giants on Sunday.

Denver's been a nice surprise this season and they're no fluke.

Pittsburgh has not fared too well as a road favorite over the last two seasons. They’ve gone 7-7 SU in that spot, but a paltry 4-10 ATS for our concerns. Yet the “chalk” has gone 4-2 ATS in the last six games on Monday night this season.
Denver doesn’t have to ask too much of its offense thanks to a defense that has been smothering this year. The Broncos have the second best scoring defense in the league (13.7 PPG), eighth against the pass (180.6 YPG) and third defending the run (86.1 YPG). The Broncos are also having success in reaching the quarterback as they’ve picked up 23 sacks this season.
Adding more fuel to that fire is the fact Denver is 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three Monday Night Football games that they were a home underdog.

Monday Night Football has been an ‘over’ extravaganza this season, going 7-1 through eight weeks of play. That looks to be the right trend to play this week as eight of the last 10 head-to-head meetings between the Broncos and Steelers have seen the ‘over’ cash tickets.

( Football Trend) The Denver Broncos are 10-2 ATS as home underdog, winning by almost three points per game.

Denver has won and ‘covered’ in its first three outings by an average of 10 points per game. The Broncos are 7-2 ATS versus AFC-North occupants, but they have faltered in nine of 10 ATS after winning two of three. Pittsburgh looks to snap a five-game spread skid on the road. The Steelers are 6-19 as road favorites of three points or less and 1-6 as road choices versus a winning, non-division opponent. The defending champs are 1-4 as Monday night favorites. They have posted a 29-11 ATS mark versus top-level teams (win percentage more than 75). Denver has zipped ‘over’ in 25 of 34 after a two-game road trip.
