No this isn't being bitter. 70% of the public on NE, a trap line, and then help from the refs. You know for damn sure if Folk makes that 57 yarder there is no flag, but right after he misses it they call a bogus penalty.

NO, not all games are fixed but this one obviously was.

I had the jets +4 and I still have to say that call was pretty shady. Even with a bet on the jets, I could clearly see that call was BS. (not sure why people can't see things objectively no matter who they bet on)

Can't stand PI calls also when the play is over and the WR stands up and puts his hands up and the refs buy into it and throw the flag 20 seconds late......The fact that the flag didn't come out until the FG was no good makes the call look even worse.

You know what, I am actually interested, so I'll play.

How... the fukk... is one supposed to "win" a bad beat?

I want to have this one explained to me. To be clear, your exact words is "you are supposed to win bad beats". That was the entirety of the sentence.

If you were claiming that Brady getting the ball at the 40, needing to move the ball 20 yards for Gostkowski wasn't 100% - that is at least somewhat reasonable, albeit a shitstain of an argument. But that isn't what you said.

You said "you are supposed to win bad beats". As in, me - the bettor - should win a bad beat. No way in fukkin hell you failed so poorly in your attempt to communicate in English that when you said "you" you meant "The Pats/Team I bet on".

So please, enlighten me oh wise one, how does one not only go about winning a bad beat, but SHOULD win a bad beat.

Yup, the public will turn on them after todays game and get buried fading them next week.

LOL, the play-by-play guys were saying that was the first time they have ever seen that penalty called.

So it was a failure to communicate. "you" in that sentence was "The Pats"

But, No you're absolutely right. It isn't a bad beat when you lost a bet because the team you bet against got gifted a game winning FG, instead of giving it to the team you bet on to get 20 yards down field - according to the rules of the fukking game.

Do you realize the team that won, missed the game winning FG, but for the refs throwing a flag on one of the more bogus calls seen this season? The team that won, failed to execute, yet won anyway. The exact other scenario of a bad beat your tiny brain fails to comprehend.

    But, You're right. My bad.

Having the team you bet against, miss a FG but are gifted a re-do 15 yards closer to the uprights on a bogus call isn't a bad beat. It's a glorious run of the mill beat.

Like I said, pull the trigger multiple times. If only you ended up on a crusty sock many years ago.

That is correct call in NE/NYJ game. New rule this year can't push a teammate into the offensive formation on a field goal or try attempt.

Mike Pereira@MikePereira 1h Rule 913: Team B players cannot push teammates on the line of scrimmage into offensive formation.

Just saw the play and the explanation.

    The call was correct.

    It was obvious.

    A new rule this year.

    Ref did his job.

    However...

It's a tough break if it cost you a play though, that's for sure.

No one ever saw that called because it is a new rule....Pretty crazy they called it in that situation but it was the correct call

Jets also had a TD overturned on a ticky tack offensive pass interference with about 5 minutes to go that would have put them up by 10

Tough loss for Pats ML backers, but the spread was already decided in all likelihood

It's a new rule that probably didn't need to be implemented. Still a crap call, but a fix? So....what.....the pats get the ball back and win with their own field goal? Still bury everyone that had Pats -3.5

I wonder why they created this new rule. Is it because of the gay ass "safety first" mentality in the NFL these days?

It is important to point it out though when it does happen. THIS is a perfect example of a fix. 1 play and 1 outcome, and 1 call that had nothing to do with the play.
Maybe you didn't catch that Jets 50 yd TD they reversed on a phantom offensive pass interference - with 5 minutes left in the game.

They certainly didn't deserve the win. Just checked that replay. I wasn't aware of the rule change, but if you're not allowed to shove a teammate into the scrum - then we were looking at a direct violation. Sh*t happens.

these rules are created just for what it did today. They help in the gambling aspect. Just like the muff punt rule. Why is this not a live fumble? That would be because 9 out of ten times it is a shit team they need to cover who fumbles the punt. I have seen more than one occasion a heavily bet team would cover because of a run back of a muff punt. Since they can't advance it they just take a knee. Nothing different today. A rule to control betting. Why don't these bizarre calls ever benefit the public? Like the fellow said. Ne was the biggest bet team in the 1 oclock time slot. Not even close.

When a game is fixed they usually wait until it goes to OT to fix it so no one could suspect anything.
