...there is something very similar to this in the NCAA Forum
Hey all! New to the site, and to sports betting. I've been casually betting football for a couple of years now but this year I really want to get more serious about it. Hopefully I've put in the hours to be successful.
I've been lurking around sbr since about this time last year and want to thank all the great handicappers on this site who have taught so much to the people who are new, and not so new, to sports betting. Instead of infiltrating each individual thread with a thank you (there seem to be plenty) I'll just put one big blanket thank you to everyone here. Aside from the people posting here, there is a whole separate collection of followers who are unregistered and don't post who follow you guys every week and you are much appreciated.
Other than that, I should have anywhere from 5-10 NFL plays a week, ranging from $100-500, I'll keep an updated and honest weekly record, your opinions, good or bad, are always welcome and best of luck this season.
San Francisco +7 (-120)
Kansas City +13 (-110)
Buffalo +11 (-110)
Det/NO UNDER 48.5 (-110)
St. Louis +8.5 (-110)
GB -3 (-125)
Cinn -4 (-110)
Buffalo/NE UNDER 47.5 (-110)
Robust,
Thanks for the feedback. I think the same logic that works for GB looking to take out Farve is valid for Farve wanting to take out his old team. I think Minnesota gets a huge advantage playing this game at home, I love Farve on the national stage, even if he's an old man now. I think Vegas is trying to encourage Green Bay money by settling in at 3.5 instead of three, and GB leads the league in sacks allowed, while the Vikings D-Line is nothing to laugh at.
And the Chicago play is 100% based on the fact that favorites greater than 6 and less than 14 are something like 19-2 ATS going into their bye week in the last couple years. Oh, and the Lions are still bad.
