    Gb @ min

Going to be a exciting Sunday with lots of key matchups. I'd like to hear some insight on this game GB/MIN game as I am a vikes homer.

My 2 cents on the game...
    -Vikes play great at home
    -GB could rest players
-AP going to be balls to the wall trying to crush the rushing record
-GB run defense allowing 112 ypg
-AP went for over 200 in the matchup earlier this season

    I like MIN +3

I will be the first to admit this scatter shot of thoughts is biased- I am a HOMER. Lets hear some thoughts..Merry Christmas gents

No way Green Bay rests players since they have a shot at the 2 seed. Secondly, Clay Matthews did not play in the first matchup and because of his QB pressures, he is very underrated against the run. Thirdly, it appears that AP is a little banged up.

Peterson had 210 yards @GB. If he does that again and Vikings win, he has to get the MVP.

    New Blood!

I'd buy the hook and get at least Minn + 3.5 because I got a feeling it's gonna go down to the wire.I'm a big GB fan,but they tend to not cover on the road a lot.may even go to 4,so you might want to wait and try and get +4.5 buying the hook?I got a feeling the NFL is wanting NEW Blood in the playoff picture this year,so look for some real close games being played this weekend and in the playoffs! Good Luck...

All valid points, but AP has been nursing various "injuries" all season, his ankle for example. And GB as a lock Hombre, what angle do you have there? What do you see making GB a sure bet here....ML maybe.

GB will have Nelson back it looks like, but Cobb may be out; he'll sit out practice till Friday. Should be a good game, Ponder will have to play well for the Vikes to win. Ponder was horrible in their first matchup in which GB didn't play that great, but Ponder basically handed them the win with atrocious QB play. GB's defense has been playing really well lately on defense with Sam Shields back to shore up the secondary and Matthews back too; BJ Raji has really turned it on the last 3 games after playing so-so for most of the year.

On offense, GB has been a top 10 rushing team the last 10 weeks, yeah that's right, rushing team!! Ever since Don Barclay took over at RT the running game has picked up; they've had a 100 yard rusher the last 4-5 weeks. Josh Sitton their RG is concussed, and if he can't go would be a big loss for GB; McCarthy is optimistic he'll play. If GB takes care of the ball and matches the all-in Vikes intensity they should win, too much firepower for the Vikes to handle IMO.

packers are playing to win,so you do the math, look for rodgers to come out and score on the first two possesions, that totaly will eliminate peterson in the backfield, you know the packers are guna score, but theirs no way id trust ponder with my season on the line...easy pick and i hate bettin with the public but i will on this one

are they going to score as easily as Hou did last week IN Houston against that defense? better check the numbers on the Vikes D over the last 3 games.... I'm not gonna go homer and say the Vikes will win, but the Pack is def. not as easy of a win as you make it out to be

Vikings are 6-1 at home and all of their losses on the road were to likely playoff teams.

So the vikes are not playing to win? There is much more at stake her for the vikings then the pack. Id hope most teams have the mindset of winning any game they are playing...worthless point

if your expecting ponder to win a playoff game, which this essentially is,thats worse than betting on cutler to win one, seriously, rogers is ready for superbowl, and their in his way....mark my words, greenbay will score twice in first quarter, vikings cant grind it out when their down double digits in 15min..

I am hoping for a win...

Also pointing out these are the ideal circumstances for one to happen- assuming the AP injury is good to go by game time Sunday.

    Merry Christmas pal.

However Minnesota got the fukk kicked out of them at home by the Buccaneers. So lets face it Vikings dont have a homefield like Seattle.

And there is not a chance in hell the Packers rest anybody in this game. The Packers super bowl hopes rest on this game.

If the Pack dont win this game its gonna take 4 wins to bring home the lombardi trophy instead of 3. And... They will give up home field advantage to the 49ers.

The Packers are going balls to the wall in this one.

But hey man I wish you and your vikings luck. I am not touching this game from a betting stand point

But my gut says Packers win by 10 or more

vikings dont have to win to get in the playoffs...they can lose and still get in as long as the bears, giants and cowboys lose...

    So they have to win...

Take out the Seattle fiasco and GB is 12-3, but their schedule was a joke down the stretch. Losing Cobb will hurt. Still not sold on that O-line protecting Rodgers. They aren't resting starters. Minnesota gas Chris Cook back and seems to be peaking even without Harvin now. They could have easily won in GB had Ponder not been atrocious. I think they'll win if he can be serviceable Sunday.

GB wins a close game, as do the Bears and they squeak into the playoffs and get beat by SF once again.

if ponder plays a good game (which is average for any other NFL QB) vikes will hang in there. Ponder is the key here
