I'm looking for some advice on teasers and was hoping for some good feedback from the forum here. I've only played one or two teasers(I did a 13 pt. teaser two weeks ago and lost when Pitt blew out K.C.) I think I have a good idea on how they work; and don't want to make them any more difficult, but would like some quick thoughts before playing them. Is there anything in particular I should watch out for?

JUST an example: Week 8

A 6 point teaser:

Atlanta +10.5 over Cinci
Pitt-3 vs Raiders
K.C. straight up over Seattle


By taking the points, teasers just strengthen(hopefully) your picks; and by giving up points, you feel confident in your team chosen? I don't want to sound like an idiot, but just want the feedback before placing some $$. Doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks for any and all feedback!

that's exactly how it works. one of the important things to do with teasers is to use them to move the spreads past key numbers, but try not to waste the points. For example, the pitt line isn't a very good one in this teaser. IMO, you'd be better off doing a 6.5 or 7 team teaser to get it off the -3.
