    Matt Ryan is still the better QB from his draft class.

    I would take ryan over flacco any day, but then again I would take Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Breeze, Matt Schaub easily over either two of them.

    We're talking about Flacco here... the guy couldn't even throw a ball 10 yards a few years back. Getting sacked... hammered... Zero Confidence.

    Then I guess he is your fantasy FB QB. By the way, I would take P. Manning and several others than the ones mentioned above over Flacco

    The guy has been oozing confidence for a while now.... The blinders were taken off this year and we are finally seeing how good Joe can actually be.... Defense takes a step back, offense a step forward, go figure....

    As for not throwing the ball 10 yards - yes, he was Captain Check-Down in seasons passed, but have you actually watched a Ravens game this season?? Night and day comes to mind.

    Loading up on good RB's/WR's and having Flacco available in a later round for a QB steal was a very sound fantasy draft strategy. And if you'd take Peyton before Flacco in a fantasy draft then you aren't none too wise.

    I don't disagree that picking up on RBs and WRs is a priority over QBs in the first couple of rounds. If any of the mentioned QBs were left along with Flacco, I would pick them first. As far as Peyton, I would take him to be my real NFL QB any day over Flacco. That goes for all the QBs mentioned above. Flacco looks decent so far this season and should have a good season with the Ravens relatively easy schedule. Lets see what the stats look like after the season. Peyton has to deal with learning a new system and being out a whole year. He will improve as the season goes. I'm sure his stats will improve and will show everyone he is still an elite QB and way better than Flacco!

    If today you'd take Peyton over Flacco to be your ongoing QB for years to come then you must not be too well versed in "upside" and "downside"... Flacco's upside is just starting to take shape while Peyton's career is on the down-turn. There is still lots for Flacco in the NFL while Peyton's better years have already come and gone.... guy looks like he's throwing a frying pan out there - you can't disagree with that.

    Ravens "easy" schedule?? Do you even watch football?? I guess you are a Colts fan so I won't fault you for not knowing how difficult the Ravens schedule is.... but take a look...

    A look at the most difficult schedules in 2012 (based on opponents' 2011 record).
    Rank Team Combined W-L Record Winning Pct. Games vs. Quality Opp.**

    32 New England* 116-140 .453 4
    * 2011 playoff team.
    ** Quality opponents are teams that had at least nine wins in 2011.

    Gotta love how the Pats and the Pack have the "easiest" schedules in the league... 2 perennial powerhouses get creme-puff schedules... no, Goodell doesn't "help" these fukkers out at all.

    I don't know that the listing is the gospel for strength of schedule (a couple of teams have more quality opponents, but a "easier" strength of schedule). I was referring to the remaining schedule. But I will say that both the Ravens and Broncos had probably the toughest first 3 games. Both of their remaining schedules don't look that tough.

    Flacco could have many more years left (as a starter), but not if there is no improvement. While Peyton is on the down side of his career, I would still take him today with a plan to groom a young quarterback with high potential (like a luck or RGIII) or gamble on picking up a good qb in the off-seasons to come.

    For the record, I think Baltimore is a very good team and has been for years. I think it's mostly due to their defense and doesn't require their quarterback to be an elite QB. If the Ravens can win a superbowl with Trent Dilfer, how good does their QB need to be??

    Peyton over Flacco has been wise.
