Today's picks. On the Ravens game, I sold a point to get to plus money, as I think the Ravens win this one by at least a touchdown, possibly more. Here are the picks:
Well, let's see if my bad run of the past few nights can get corrected today. On the Bills game, most books are offering -4, which is fine, but I found a -3.5 at Sportsbook.com, so if you want that extra half point, that's where you can find it. It takes an eternity to get payouts processed by Sportsbook.com, though, so keep that in mind. Not as many picks today as I usually have, but still a good number. Here they are:
One pick for tonight's game. I didn't have enough time to look around for better lines, so you may be able to find a better one than I did, but this one should still be pretty solid:
Only a pick on the side tonight. Total is too close to call. On the side, books are offering either -3 or -2.5 for the Saints. My numbers show that the Saints should win this game by at least a touchdown, so going for -3 and getting the plus money is the smarter play, in my opinion.
On the Broncos/Panthers game, the only place to find the +4.5 spread is at Sportsbook.ag. Everyone else has it at only +3.5, but that's still a good line that I would take. Same goes for the Saints game, where everyone else has +1.5. Still a good line that I would take. Anyway, here are today's picks:
No picks on tonight's game. The total is sharp as hell, and the spread isn't much better. The closest thing to a good spread is over at Heritage Sports where they're offering Steelers -11.5, but that's still too close for comfort. Sometimes the best play is no play at all.
Well, a bad day in the NBA was made up for by a good day in the NFL. Very unusually high number of pushes, though! Record today was 6-3-3, +2.64 units.
Looking forward to tonight's game, and I've got picks on both the side and total. On the total, the numbers don't indicate a score this low, even with these great defenses. A score of something like 24-14 is a very real possibility here. I think the public is overemphasizing the defense, and the books are keeping the total low for that reason. An easy opportunity for an over, in my opinion. Not a sure thing by any means, but definitely profitable long term. FYI, go to Bookmaker or BetDSI for the 34.5 line. Everyone else has the line at 35, which turns into a push with a score of 21-14, which is another real possibility. The half point makes a difference here. On the side, I think the Bears are getting too much credit. The fact that they've been playing mostly teams with mediocre defenses all season has driven up their averages scores. When you look at games against teams with better defense, they've struggled to put up double digits. I think they'll break into double digits tonight, but not by much. The 49ers, on the other hand, shouldn't have any problems getting up into the 20s. A 3.5 point spread makes it an easy call.
