As good as the Cowboys might be this year, they will ahve their hands full in Jacksonville today against the Jaguars.

This game between Dallas and Jacksonville has gone from an opening line of the Jaguars -3 to Dallas now being favored by 1!

We believe a great portion of this movement is the public believing some of the preseason hype of the Cowboys being Super Bowl contenders, mainly due to the addition of Terrell Owens. While we believe that Dallas has one of the better defenses in the NFC, we actually expect a slip in Dallas' offensive production.

Drew Bledsoe was basically resurrected from the dead last season and will have a hard time duplicating his production in 2006. Owens only played in one preseason game and it will probably take him a while to get in sync with his QB. The Cowboys' offensive line should also be seriously tested by a fierce Jags' front seven.

Lost in the Colts' quest for an undefeated season was the fact that Jacksonville went 12-4 last season, and did so with starting QB Byron Leftwich missing much of the campaign. The retirement of WR Jimmy Smith will probably actually help the Jag's with Ernest Wilford taking over the #1 receiver slot.

Jacksonville has a very stout defense in their own right as evidenced by allowing just 14.8 per game at home last season. The Jags are 7-1 ATS in their last eight home openers and we expect them to pull away with the victory today.

    Play: Jaguars +1

Enough with the TO talk. The Cowboys have a solid team without Terrell Owens snd will open the season with a win at Jacksonville today.

All the off season talk has been nothing but T.O., T.O., T.O. Well, it's time for T.O. to show.

We feel that Terrell Owens and all the Cowboys will in fact show up and show up big on Sunday afternoon. Look for a big time performance for the flashy franchise known as America’s team.

Jacksonville has been very strong defensively but the Cowboys are ready to hit on all cylinders as in addition to bringing in Owens, Terry Glenn and Jason Witten have had great training camps. Also, Julius Jones is ready to be the workhouse in the backfield that Bill Parcells likes to feature.

The Jags are in a transition on offense as All-Everything WR Jimmy Smith has retired and young receivers like Matt Jones, Reggie Williams and Ernest Wilford are going to have to step up big time if they are going to have any success with moving the football. While the Cowboys offense has received most of the headlines, it truly is the defense that Parcells has always hung his hat on. This Cowboys group has a great combination of size and speed and should be a very tough matchup for the Jaguars.

Jacksonville also could be impacted by a couple of injuries. Most notably, starting LB Mike Peterson is questionable with a knee injury. Take this week one road dog as we expect the Cowboys to win outright.

    Play: Cowboys -1
