I thought some of you guys might wanna read this preview tip sheet on tonights NFLX games, so here it is:

**Indianapolis at St. Louis**

-- Indianapolis went 0-5 in the 2005 preseason, followed by an impressive 14-2 record during the regular season, securing a division title.

-- Remember, the Colts have lost the major driving force in their running game with Edgerrin James going to the Arizona desert. Dominic Rhodes will be the main focus on the ground. He racked up 1,104 yards during his rookie campaign in 2001.

-- After recently signing with the team, count on first round pick Joseph Addai (781 yards and eight touchdowns in his senior year at Louisiana State University) to receive a large number of touches.

-- The wide receiver trio of Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Brandon Stokley produced 4,096 receiving yards last year, averaging 256 yards per game.

-- More responsibility will be applied to Peyton Manning this year, who is still in pursuit of his first ring. His 3,747 passing yards accompanied by 28 touchdowns led the Colts into the playoffs in 2005.

-- Linebackers Cato June and Gary Brackett combined for a smothering 229 tackles, while the front four tallied up 23 sacks. The Colts displayed one of their finest defensive efforts last year.

-- Expect the Colts to shuffle the deck at the cornerback position, where a lack of depth and production may leave the team vulnerable to the air attack. Second year player Marlin Jackson and rookie Antoine Bethea will look to prove their value at the corners.

-- Don’t expect the starters to surpass the first quarter. Indianapolis will look to investigate what they have in the running game behind RB Dominic Rhodes.

-- The Colts never covered the spread once during pre-season last year, going 0-5 as their SU record indicated.

-- St. Louis has a new coach in Scott Linehan and five fresh starters on the defensive side of the ball. Those arrivals equated to a $100 million spending spree.

-- The Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce wide receiver show continues its tour this season, as sixth-year quarterback Marc Bulger will look to stay healthy and improve on the 6-10 record from last year.

-- The RB staff is stockpiled heading into the first game of the preseason. Names such as Antoine Bagwell, John David Washington and Fred Russell will look to find a job in-back of Steven Jackson and Moe Williams. Look for heavy action in the backfield.

-- Defensively, the Rams have signed big checks to acquire linebacker Will Witherspoon (80 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions with Carolina last season) and defensive tackle La’Roi Glover.

-- Safety Corey Chavous was another solid acquisition during the offseason. His 71 tackles and two interceptions will provide some much needed pass protection in St. Louis. Watch for safety Jerome Carter to prove his worth as a second year pro out of Florida State.

-- books have set the Rams as five-point favorites, with the ‘over/under’ at 38 ½. This game will be nationally televised at 8:00 p.m. EST on FOX.

**Cleveland at Philadelphia**

-- The Browns had a disappointing 6-10 season in 2005, but on the plus side they were 4-0 against the spread in pre-season play.

-- Untested QB Charlie Frye will have a lot on his plate this season, as he looks to produce with WR Dennis Northcutt (441 yards with two TDs) and newly acquired Joe Jurevicius (694 yards with 10 TDs).

-- Second year receiver Braylon Edwards is nearly recovered from last year's season-ending injury, but his status as 'questionable' on the injury list may keep him out of action for Thursday’s game. He has participated in training camp drills, but remains a question mark.

-- Cleveland fans will have something to cheer about given the highly anticipated return of tight end Kellen Winslow. His time may be limited to a few series of plays in the first quarter, but he is expected to partake in the festivities nonetheless.

-- Defensively, watch for 13-year LB Willie McGinest to become an instant leader for the Browns.

-- Rookie linebacker D’Qwell Jackson will be receiving a lot of in-game experience against the Eagles, as starter Chaun Thompson has been sidelined with a strained calf. This will give the rookie a chance to prove that his 400-plus tackles in college can translate into a good pro career.

-- Arthroscopic surgery has sidelined cornerback Daylon McCutcheon (making Leigh Bodden starting CB), and right tackle Ryan Tucker for most or all of the preseason.

-- Keep an eye out for rookie defensive end Kamerion Wimbley from Florida State. His raw power and size will benefit the ‘Brownies’ on the pass rush, who ranked dead last in the league last year with 23-sacks.

-- The Eagles are coming off a loss from last Sunday, handed to them by the Oakland Raiders. With only a four day break in the action, look for limited playing time from the big-name starters.

-- Including last Sunday, the Eagles have logged a record of 2-3 ATS since the 2005 preseason.

-- QB Donovan McNabb went 3-of-3 passing for 29 yards in his one and only drive that ended with a one-yard touchdown run by RB Brian Westbrook in the Hall of Fame game.

-- With WR Todd Pinkston out of practice with Achilles problems, Hank Baskett has jumped up the list to prove his ability to the higher power in Andy Reid. With the first play of the game, Baskett caught a rifle pass for seven yards from McNabb.

-- Fifth round pick LB Omar Gaither recorded six tackles last game, and looks to be improving his chances at a job during the season.

-- At the LB position, a tight battle is underway between veteran Dhani Jones (70 Tackles and one INT in 2005) and Gregg Richmond, who has never seen NFL action.

-- Because rookie DT Brodrick Buckley is a holdout, LaJuan Ramsey has been getting recognition. His two-tackle performance coupled with a solid outing in training camp has given the Eagles a reason to use the 6-3, 291-pound rookie.

-- books have Philadelphia as a three-point home favorite, with the total standing at 33 ½.
