    Saints -900 ML vs. Rams

Am I crazy to lay $4,500 on the Saints ML to make an easy $500. There is literally no way they can lose to the Rams.

I wouldn't lay the points either. There was accually a similiar game like this in 2009 when the Saints were DD favorites against the Rams and the Saints had to fight to win and didn't cover the number. If I were you parlay the Saints mL with your other picks that way you are risking possible winnings and less of your own money.

Given the unpredictability of the NFL that's just too much to risk in my opinion but if you added a few teams among the Ravens, Giants, Niners, Texans, Titans, Panthers you might be able to get a decent payout.

I wouldn't do it. I don't like small teams like the Saints on the road. Save that bread; there will be many more opportunities down the road.

Even with Bradford out? How do the Rams cover 13 with Feely? Not trying to be smart here, just trying to understand why they stay withing 13 w/ a back up qb?

Several years ago stanford was a 24 point dog to USC at USC...stanford won.

I have always thought of betting large ML favorites as being a lot like fishing. The fish can win a bunch but if I win just once, his ass is in the boat. You can win a bunch of big ML bets, but if you lose just once, you've lost an @ss load of money. And if u do it long enough, you will lose one. Its just a matter of time...

If this really is a LOCK, then you would be stupid not to bet the line. Go for it, might as well go all in becaue it can't lose

Definately not worth taking the risk here. Nothing is guaranteed unless it's NBA and you know who the refs bet on to cover.

I'd pass than lay the points but if he liked the mL I would suggest to parlay it to save juice. Actually to think about it I'd recommend to lay some on the spread that would be covered by the mL so if the mL loses the spread would have lost anyway so he can save juice.

but to your point. Actually I think you are right. I'm swinging towards supporting the Saints. this is one of those angles where home teams in the NFL don't get more than a 14 points? whats the highest for a home dog that anyone has seen? can't be more than 16. right? but anyway the Rams are restricted to that handicap and the Saints can score 30+ so kinda hard to think where the points will come from because the Rams definitely need to score. I mean even to get a kick return is unlikely because they hardly get a chance to even try to.

would be interesting to check if a winless team has ever won straight up as a double-digit dog in NFL. i already know that double-digit favs can lose straight up in back-to-back games(PIT wk 13 & 14 '09).
