Get Back At Vegas for your NCAA bet losses this weekend!
Thank GOD for the NFL. Did anyone take it on the chin this weekend? I know I did. Not surprising... as several top 10 favorites fell like a house of cards. Vegas made a KILLING on Wisconsin, as smart money AND public money was on that team. Oklahoma? Many bet on that game because of the trend of top 10 favorites covering. And how many people bet on Wake and Temple, two cash cows for covering the spread?
Its time to put that all behind us, and thank god that we have another day of wagers! To keep track of my picks, this is the last thread I posted in to support my current record:
My record: NCAA (6-7) +1.5 Units NFL (0-0) +0 units Total (6-7) +1.5 Units
As you can see, I survived the beating vegas gave yesterday. Even though more picks were wrong than right, I still came out ahead in units, and thats what we are all in this for anyway, isnt it?
So... onto Sunday.
Playing straight from my game simulator, rather than my trends, because the simulator resulted in higher averages this weekend...
Oakland -3.5 2 units
Oakland Over 41 2 units
Pittsburgh -3.5 2 units
San Diego/Jets Over 43.5 3 units
Sunday Night football and Monday Night Football after all these games are over.
Luckily I got back at Vegas on Notre Dame. I hit a live bet on USC -7. I frantically put lots of money to make up for my losses... a strategy that should NOT be done in any circumstances. It paid off for me, but it was stupid of me. At least we lived to bet another day!
Not bad, not bad at all. Won my confidence bet on the jets/chargers game, and won pittsburgh.
My record now is..
NCAA (6-7) +1.5 units
NFL (2-2) +1 unit
Total (8-9) +2.5 units
As long as I keep ending up in the green, I could care less what my win loss record is. I will be analyzing the data to see what trends and statistics are working for me after this weekend though.
My pick tonight is the Ravens -6.5 points first half line, and you can bank on that.
