    What's up with Cadillac Williams?

I thought that he had tons of potential when he started with the Buccs back in 05, but then his flame just died out.
He showed a bit of what he was in last weeks game so hypothetically speaking lets say he breaks out and has a monster game today against the Giants, could he step up and replace Steven Jackson? what would you do as head coach?

I'd seriously consider splitting carries between the both of them... giving them enough time to rest and this way not overworking them... But that's just me.

    What would you do?

This is the battle of the two ex-Auburn backs Cadillac Williams and Brandon Jacobs. I think Cadillac is going to have a monster game today.

cant replace jackson and that team needs so much it would be wise to trade him if that happens because the answer to your question of what happened to him is injuries

i need 9.5 points out of him tonight on draftstreet

We got Cadillac rushing for 65.5 yds on our NFL PROPS, will he go over or under that??? I say he can pull off at least 80 yds.

It's Jackson's team. Keep giving him the rock. Cadillac's approaching 30 and has had multiple knee surgeries. Only Beanie Wells and John Kuhn averaged less yards per rush than Cadillac did a year ago. And so many of Kuhn's carries were to pickup short yardage so I really shouldn't even count him. Legarrette Blount ran for 1.5 more yards per carry with the same line as Cadillac a year ago. Cadillac should be nothing more than a backup to S-Jax.

So even if he has an explosive night and rushes for 200 with 2 TD's you'd still bench him??

He won't, but yes I would. S-Jax is far and away better and it's his team. As long as he's healthy the Rams will be better off with him getting the ball than Cadillac.

Yes hands down... Tate had a good week last week, but Houston is still fosters team... This is similar. The giants d is completely injury depleted so caddy shoukd have a great game... Either way, that is sjax team and that won't change unless he suffers a yr ending injury. Back to your other question... He had a huge yr with the bucs back in, what was it, 2006? He tore his knee up (I believe) pretty bad the following yr and just never had the same burst since.. its a shame, bc he coulda been a beast..

Yeah I don't disagree that S-Jax is by far the best option for the team, but I think that if the Cadi can make an impressive comeback in this match I would for sure consider to get him more in to the mix and split carries... maybe a 60 - 40 favoring S-Jax...

It was 05 when he was "good" rushing for 1100 + yds playing in 14 games... and Yeah he coulda been a beast... such a shame...

He was never good in the nfl, awful ypc, not many touchdowns. Him and Ronnie both backups now, never lived up to expectations.

RB's are dime a dozen, not hard to get 1000 yards 6td's for anyone healthy and decent carries. You don't have to be good.

Caddy is an idea backup. Good hands, decent runner, decent blocker. Not sure I'd ever want him starting for me.

Stephen Jackson gets injured too easily, I'd split carries and use williams as third down back and short yardage

Cadillac has had too many injuries. Even if he did breakout and had 200 yds and 3 Td's, SJax is still the man in St.Louis, but Cadillac might see more carries if his performance warrants it.

that game sucked. he was just pass protecting every play because they called probably 90 percent pass plays.
