I feel like people focus so much on the eagles passing game with Vick and his targets that they don't understand how good they are is all around



The eagles were #5 in the league in rushing yards per game last year, including #1 by a huge magin in yards per carry at 5.4 (and you saw it again today with them getting 200+ yards rushing). Defensively, this team will be AWESOME this year. The first team defense only gave up 12 total points on offense in the preseason and they played great again today after that early rush touchdown by Steven Jackson (albeit the Rams had some injuries but still)



This team really only has 2 weaknesses, their run defense is somewhat suspect with such a young linebacking crew and Vick's ability to adjust his offensive line and detect the blitz is somewhat weak. But both of those areas should improve as the season goes on and this team is gonna have an unbelievable pass defense with an excellent defensive line and the best cornerback trio in the league



I keep telling everybody that the eagles could win 13-15 games this year and people look at me like I'm crazy. Vick had a 43% completion percentage today and the eagles still won by 18 on the road... Looking at their schedule, I see 4 legitimate challenges (Atlanta, chicago, new england, new jersey), if they split those 4 games they will go 14-2

Turner scares me for next week, he's the only way Atlanta even keeps that game close because Vick will shred that defense

They shut him down last yr with a weaker line and the same type young linebackers as this yr.. this yr they shoukd be able to stack the box more since they have shut down corners on the outside not needing as much help.. I haven't looked into this game much yet, but just like all the games will be this yr, it will be important to get an early lean so the fast ends can make plays and force them to play into the secondary's strength

some teams will have absolutely no answer for how fast eagles recievers are, eagles kept doing it over and over against the rams, sending jackson way down the field as fast as he could go for another big play. only thing that kept the score even close was that eagles got TONS of penalties like they always do, and vick missed some targets. people cannot catch those receivers. there will be other matchups where the eagles get crushed though.

STL was the 3rd most popular pick in the Hilton Contest this week. PHI was the OBVIOUS play, but sometimes sharps outsmart themselves by playing a dog. To think this line didn't move AFTER free agency was a laugh. The line should have been -7 at a minimum.

They were the dream team for me last Thursday. I had Seattle ML and Marshawn Lynch Over 82.5 yards. Lynch went over early 2Q when a bunch of Eagles decided they'd rather play slap-n-tickle than tackle football. Reid should pay for these sad sacks with his job.
