NFL Steroids Bust

KDVR-TV in Denver is reporting a number of NFL players have tested positive for steroids after taking water pills to lose weight. ESPN says the number of players involved is higher than 10 and could be more than 15. The station says New Orleans Saints players Deuce McAllister and Will Smith are among the players. They and other players allegedly tested positive for a diuretic called Bumetanide. Others reportedly tested positive for another substance. The station says Bumetanide can also hide the use of other drugs. Meanwhile, ESPN says multiple players have retained attorney David Cornwell for the NFL appeals process. The lawyer would not say how many players contacted him or who they were.
