This d-line the potential to be one of the greatest of all time if they can stay healthy. But as of right now they are just the best in the league. Holes still need to be addressed. Linebacker cornerback, and offensive line need to be addressed immediately. As for those that say Stafford needs to stay healthy, yes of course but we got to backups in Shaun hill and Stanton that proved just how deep we are.. All in all its a two team race in the NFC north between the lions and packers.. I will definitely be putting a futures wager on Detroit winning the division. Go lions!!! Its about fukkin time!

You do realize they played football before last year, don't you?

The Rams, Viks, Steeler, Cowboy teams of the 70s had much better DLs.

There getting older have trouble scoring no much of a threat and the packers are going to be tough vikings are down. lions have a young talented team and more picks and free agency to improve

So basically the guy is claiming a lions team with no protection for their franchise QB is going to win 12 games by stuffing the run. The lions secondary is still full of holes so stuffing the run isn't even their main weakness at this point. That DL is sick I'm not going to lie, but the passing game is still opened in the lions secondary. Packer OL is just as sick as the detroit DL. When they play Rodgers will have a field day.
and you forget they also play home in a dome.. teams will air it out against them all day in detroit

Cutler was going to lose the starting job to Hanie anyway. I say Detroit finishes 2nd to GB. Minnesota doesn't have a QB, Chicago doesn't have, well, anything.

Need an o-line that can run block and pass protect though if they're going to open holes for Lashore and Best.

with everyone healthy one could make an argument for the Bucs having as good of a defensive line as the lions. Best D lines of all time only become the best by performing on the field. Let's see what these two teams and their players do with their opportunities before we compare them to the bears and steelers defenses of the past.

Lions won't even have the best D-Line in the NFL next year. That will be the New York football Giants.

The Best of All Time isn't determined by potential...it's determined on the field. And to this point, it's been about half a century since the Lions mattered...at all.

Lions have the best receivers of all time
Lions are building for the future
Lions will be good in 2 years
Lions will actually be decent this year

I've been hearing this crap about the Lions ever since they drafted Charles Johnson, Mike Williams and Roy Williams. I regard any of these comments as as dumb as the Matt Millen picking them. Stupid commentary by stupid people.

You can't call a line with a 2nd year guy and a guy that hasn't taken an NFL snap the best DL of all time.

lions were the second best team in NFL last year ATS history says teams that are great ATS but have a losing record tend to drastically improve the following year in record because they win the close games they previously lost. Offensively and defensively the lions should be a threat for the next several years

I just want any sportsbook to please put up a prop bet like this...

Will The Detroit Lions Make The 2011 Playoffs? Yes +140 No -160

I will jump all over the +140 for at least 5k if that book allows it.

They will keep games close this year... they will be young and talented. They will surprise a few teams...
