    Unit Betting

Hi, quick question about Unit Betting.

Say you have a starting bank roll of 500 dollars, and you place 2 bets each for 10 dollars...

So 10 dollars is 2 units (assuming each unit is 1 percent).

However after you place the 1st bet your bank roll is now 490. So when calculating how much 10 dollars is unit wise, is it more than 2 units now before the 1st bet is graded? In other words do you calculate units in term of your 500 dollars, original bank roll before the bets are graded? Thanks.

As I know, you don't change your unit size after each bet that you place. And you don't have to change your unit size. It's your preference to change your unit size according to your bankroll. For people that I know, they don't change their unit size constantly. If they do change their unit size, they usually do it after doubling their bankrolls(in your case, it's $1000) or lose half of their bankrolls. In other words, you don't change your unit size because of small changes to your bankroll.

Got it. But is it 1% of 500, or 1% 490, before the first bet is graded and you place another one?
