    It seems like the only time one of their teams can advance is when both teams in the game are big east.

    They are key but what a dismal showing by the conference. 2/9 in the Sweet 16, obviously discounting it to 9 bc of the head to head 2nd rd games. They only advanced 2 bc it was a guarantee.

    Exactly.

    Uconn is in the sweet 16 because they beat another Big East team in Cincy.

    Marquette is in the sweet 16 because they beat another Big East team in Syracuse.

    The Big East had so many teams in the tourney that they were pretty much gauranteed to have a team or two in the sweet 16 because they would match up with each other in the second round provided they beat the teams that the should have no problem with. That being said, L'ville couldn't get it done against a 13 seed.

    Kenny Smith told it like it is.. there are just as many teams from the CITY of Richmond, VA. as there are Big East in the Sweet Sixteen...

    That and Charles Barkley is by far the best and most entertaining halftime there is....
