Going to Vegas for March Madness...

I need suggestions for some good sports books to visit during the final week of March Madness. I am not interested in how fancy they are or how the cocktail waitresses look naked...I want a place where I can go apeshit and get a little rowdy without getting kicked out.

p.s. Who should I complain to that a pile of crap was inserted in my post? That makes me want to punch someone in the face.

Wow, this place really sucks. Unless you are talking about taking some guys stuff all over your face or belong to the "boys club", serious questions aren't allowed.

I was at the Mandalay Bay for the Kentucky Derby and NBA playoffs a few years back. It's a pretty good sized book with the poker room right next door. The book has plenty a seats and should be an excellent option for watching March Madness.

My favorite casino on the strip to play sportsbooks is the Riviera...especially if im trying to make some money (i Might be there for March madness too at least the opening rounds)...Its a lot more laid back than those mentioned above which is good for me because Ive learned drinking and gambling dont mix for me... Probably wont be able to get too wild there...but if you get down its a good place to catch some sanity....

They also have the best pool area on the strip. It's really a nice place.

That's exactly what I am looking for. I need a place that will allow some tomfoolery. I don't want to hang out with a bunch of snobs whilst drinking martinis.

Bill Simmons mentioned in an article once that the Wynn has a topless bathing area that you can view from the blackjack tables. I would say THAT would be the best pool. No?

its like a large sports bar... much more personable than other places on the strip. also one of the last few places to play one deck black jack (if they still do)..Check it out

I would definately also like to get lost in the Wynn for a few days and I love Caesers...

There are a few casinos out here that offer "European" style pools. So there are more then one good pool out there.

I didn't know that. I haven't made it to the Wynn yet. Mandalay Bay has a topless pool area but you have to pay to get in.

Vegas is not a hard thing to do...You can find cheap airfare/hotel packages for as cheap as 375-400 dollars (maybe cheaper)... A nice early victory or two has usually paid for my trip...Now if I could just stay away from those damned blackjack tables.

I usually go to Vegas once a year, but airfare was expensive as hell a few months ago. We checked last week and the prices went down significantly...so we booked it. What was going to be a 5 day stay on International Drive in Orlando has turned into a much more exciting adventure in Vegas.

Do the older casinos have sportsbooks?

I hope the pools are open! I hear they close down during certain times of the year.

You might have to call the hotel for that one. My guess is they open the pools the first week of April.

I personally don't care. We are going to gamble, not drink fru fru's out by the pool.

Kinda like if a different word appeared everytime you wrote some common word, like butter, or something?

Alright, I called the Wynn and I guess the pools remain open year round weather permitting. They even have poolside blackjack which is cool as hell. Other hotels may vary with their hours, but atleast you know the Wynn will be open.

Look at it as soft serve chocolate frozen yogert with sprinkles falling onto it. That help?

Been to every sportsbook in vegas and no one drinks martinis and watches college basketball. This is america. Every sportsbook has tourists drinking beer and watching the game. Some may have nicer watches than others depending on the sportsbook but thats about it.
