Fairfield (p) (5 units)
The spread opened up as Niagara being a 1.5 point favorite but I think the money is coming in for Fairfield. I am also taking Fairfied (p) in the first half. Both of these teams have played Canisius. Fairfied defeated Canisius 80-61 like everyone else does in this weak conference. Niagara has been somewhat suspect on the road and lost at Canisius 70-62. The oddsmakers probably set the spread based upon individual records (Niagara is 12-6 overall, 6-3 in conf, while Fairfield is 7-12 overall, 5-4 in conf). If we take a take a look at the out of conference schedules, Fairfield has a much tougher scedule by playing the likes of Cinncinatti, Georgetown, Wake Forest and St Joseph's. That is why Fairfield is 7-12 overall. Niagara has had a very easy out of conference schedule and that is why they are 12-6 (6-3 in conf play and 6-3 out of conf play). Fairfield with a win can be tied with Niagara in conference play. Fairfield defeated Niagara the last time they met by a score of 68-56 and Fairfield led the game from start to finish. The line has moved from Niagara being a 1.5 favorite to Fairfield (p). LEts make some money on this easy picking.
Cinci/Seton Hall U72.5 (h). For an early morning game, this total is really a big number. The last time these two met, Cinci won 70-67 in overtime. The first half score was 31-24, a total of 55 points in the first half. Its just too early in the morning and I think both teams will struggle to shoot the ball.
Illinois/Northwestern U56.5(h). I know this is a low over under. Priutt is out for a suspension and that should drop the scoring in this game. THe last time these two teams met the score was 48-37 Illinois winning and at the half the score was 23-22.
