Winthrop started the season 1-3 in the Big South and 8-10 overall before rebounding to a 17-13 (12-6) record and the #3 seed in the Big South tournament. They are 0-2 against Radford this season, with losses of 61-59 in OT at the beginning of the season and a 54-52 loss last week at Radford. Winthrop will not drop three in a row to rival Radford and comes away with the victory today going into the final match up with Coastal Carolina to get back into the NCAA tourney
I gonna have to disagree on this one. Radford has won straight up the last 4 times these teams have met. They out match Winthrop in almost every acpect. The logic of not losing a third in a row is not very strong. I'm gonna go with Sportsguy04 on this one and play Radford.
But look on the bright side, someone in this thread will come out winning, hopefully its the majority! BOL!
look a little deeper winthrop got it done at home when they leave there building its much different, there road wins in conference were to the bottom feeders of the division and lost all the others, radford better team here. nothing should be too huge in a game like this when madness is almost upon us
I don't care for either team in this spot. Not feeling strong about either so I'm staying away. Public seems to be agreeing with you. GL with your pick.
ive been reading some other boards. Radford got plenty of home calls last game vs winthrop (winthrop coach commented on it as well) and still needed a last second lay-up to win it...........this is a game on a neutral court with winthrop campus 3 hrs away and radford campus 6...........i like Winthrop +2 and also the U122.5 , winthrop coach said he wants pace slow, and the score in the 50's
I told you guys! A lot of fades in this thread and questioning it being a "HUGE" play, but it came up big for me and hopefully anyone who followed. Cheers!
