In Game Thread: UF at Arizona
I was really looking forwarded to this game and it hasn't disappointed. Zona crowd really loud and boisterous and both teams playing at a hig pace. I'm really enjoying this game so far. UF looks very sharp moving the ball on offense and their defense is pretty stout. I'm on UF -2 game line. What about everyone else?

It's more zona making mistakes and poor shooting than floridas pressure it think. If you are at home and can't make wide open 3's, miss bunnies, and make poor passes like Lyons is doing then you are just too nervous or not good enough. Florida is good though.
I've seen UF play all year and their defense rattles teams. They harass ball carriers and don't give up easy buckets in the paint. The refs are keeping Zona in this game right now because it should be a 16 - 18 point lead right now.Originally Posted by southpaw74

Gators should be up double digits but refs kept Zona in the game. I don't see them bailing them out a second half. UF 2nd half should cash.

I rewound it as well and it wasn't in the air and he didn't drag. It was legit. I think Florida is the better squad though and they should win but you are going overboard with the home cookin. Florida only had 5 fouls 1h...relax.
Arizona is playing football out there. Banging and pushing all over the floor. It's not about how many fouls but when you call them. Several missed calls by the refs gave a huge advantage to Zona. Zona has a 12 to 4 FT discrepancy. Tell me how the hell is that even, when Zona is the team doing all the pushing?

i think they lettin the teams play and there were a few times that benefited zona for sure,, i dont think it anything horrific...fla is just a seasoned team that is really playing at their peak already and zona pretty young besides lyons who making transition to point and on a new team, lot of parts that have to learn to play together still, tons of upside but they trying to get where the gators already are..
Florida about to run Zona off the court again and the refs call a technical for hanging on the rim while the Zona defender pushed Yuegette in the back under the basket. Nice one refs. Way to keep them in the game again. Zona getting most of their points via the refs.

Yeah, they should take care of business but it pisses me off to see the refs keep a team that shouldn't be on the court right now. Zona has a 14 - 4 free throw advantage. Not sure how that has happened.

Did you see that 5 second call? The ref started counting, stopped counting when Boynton got separation but ended up calling 5 seconds anyway somehow to give Zona the ball back. This shit is ridiculous. This is what I hate about basketball, refs have too much control.
