    I don't bet much NCAA BB, but these trends are too much for me to pass up. Duke @ UNC

    TRENDS:
    - The under is 7-3 in Duke's last 10 road games.
    - The visitor is 7-2 against the spread in the last nine dates between these two teams.
    - UNC is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games against Duke.

    More Facts

    1. Duke hasn’t lost consecutive games since the 2008-09 season. The Blue Devils are 14-0 off a loss during that stretch, including a 3-0 mark this season.

    2. The last four meetings have seen double-digit halftime leads of 27, 14 (twice) and 12 points. North Carolina was the only team to lose a game after leading. The Tar Heels fell 79-73 on Feb. 9, 2010, after leading by 14 at the half.

    3. Duke is 21-10 against the Tar Heels since 1998-99.

    UNC has a different class of talent than Duke. But we are prone to play poor perimeter defense and UNC has no back up point guard if Marshall gets in foul trouble. If the dookies are hitting their threes or Marshall gets in fould trouble they could cover.

    If dook is not hitting the 3 at about a 40% clip this game will be a blowout.

    That doesn't change the fact that this is the weakest Duke team in years (tonight notwithstanding). Great coaches get the best out of their players and bad coaches don't (both were on display in this game). But I'd still rather have the better personnel than the better coach, and tonight's result should set up a great bet on UNC at Duke in the season finale.

    LT, this Duke team is much better than the one that West Virginia clobbered in the NCAA's not long ago (well 3+ years). This team is your run of the mill Duke team.

    Also, both of these teams belong NOWHERE near the top 10-15

    Strongly disagree, UNC should go to Final Four (on paper anyway). They are still one of three best teams in the country if Roy can get them motivated.

    I'm not saying this is good wagering advice at all but, when I am in Vegas & I walk by a ROulette table (yes, get the laughs out now a roulette table!) & I see that the board is full of all RED & not a single BLACK....
    I pound that Black, for the table max if I can.
    Red-Black in Roulette is just less than 50%-50%
    The way vegas sets our lines with crazy accuracy & crazy consistency our point spreads are more or less 50%-50%
    So maybe when the trend is so apparent & obvious you hope the Laws of Probability start to balance things out.
    Betting the table max in this situation helps to discourage me from chasing that loss.
