I am surprised I have not seen discussion about the Minny Illini game tonight. I placed Minny as my fav play today and most likely to cover the 5.5. 3x.
No way you can be confident in either team. Minny struggled mightily against quite a few subpar opponents @ home. Now they go to Illinois to play a team that has played a far more difficult schedule and some may argue, has underachieved thus far. This is a game that could be over by halftime if Minny walks through the first half as they did against NDSU. Frankly, Minny should probably be 9-10 pt dogs if you have watched them play. But as always, this is conference play and the first game of conference play at that... many better games to take a shot at as this is easily the most difficult game that Minny has played.
Minnesota lost Mbakwe so hard to read this team : Illini are over rated blow out loss to UNLV and almost lost to Cornell and St Bonnie : good luck it should be close Minnesota still has talent in the back court
Illinois very inconsistent, but forget the record Minnesota is BAD, esp now without Mbakwe. They haven't faced anyone on the road. Illinois is a tough court, now with conference season starting. Leonard should dominate Sampson. Feeling that Minnesota is due for a beatdown. Illinois wins 70-56.
