    Thx....I think the cuse should cover but sometimes they play down to their competition...especially defense teams but looking at all the numbers don't think that happens today..GL to you as well.

    Well if they follow their normal pattern, they'll get that cover in the 2nd half after a so-so 1st half. One of these games, it has to start clicking for them that they need to start fast and finish fast.

    Yes they are...but shoot only 41% as a team...Cuse 50% and 5% better on 3's and Cuse avg's 5 more boards a game...while Clev St only has a 2.5% advantage defensively on opps fg%...so as long as Cuse shows up offensively they should cover

    Yeah I agree Pete. Syracuse is frustrating though at times. They have the talent to hang with anyone in the country (except the boys in the baby blue.) They should cover the -13 but it depends on which team shows up.

    Also Cleveland St is at the end of a 3-game road trip in which they are 1-1 SU and have covered ATS in both. Just some food for thought.

    I just posted this in the players talk area but thought you should see my reason for taking Syracuse today...


    Take Syracuse -12.5

    Ninth home game already and haven't had to play a road game since Nov 24 while this is the second road game in 3 days for Clev St

    Clev St only shoots 41% Cuse 50%
    Shooting % of the top 4 scorers, one thru 4 for each team
    Clev St 41.4...42.3....30.2...49.3
    Cuse 53.2...46.1...53.7....79.4

    Cuse averages 5 more boards
    Leading rebounders for Clev St are a 6'5" forward at 6.9 a 6'4" guard at 6.0 and a 6'3" guard at 5.1 boards
    Leading rebounders for Cuse are a 6'4" forward at 8.6 and two 6'9" forwards at 7.6 and 5.7 boards
    Clev St hold opps to 37.5% Cuse 40%
    Clev St defense causes 16 turnovers avg's 9.8 steals 3.5 blks
    Cuse defense causes 15 turnovers avg's 9.8 steals 5.2 blks
    Clev St turnovers over the ball 14 times a game
    Cuse turnovers over the ball 16 times a game

    Basically Clev St has a slight advantage defensively and ball handling but Cuse has the clear offensive advantage in size and shooting ability. Clev St has no chance if Cuse shoots their 50% average, but they tend to start off slow in first halfs. Being at home for 3 weeks should give them a shooters advantage especially given Clev St has had to travel twice in the last 3 days....Could Cuse come out lazy being at home for so long?? Maybe, but I don't think so in this one and even if they start off cold I'd think they will have the rebounding advantage to come thru if needed...anyways GL on what ever plays are selected.

    And Riverside cashes two units

    Ended up 1-2 on sides and 0-1 on teasers for a one unit loss in college hoops....but was +4 units in the NBA so ended up 3 units in hoops overall
