Is Jim Calhoun the best college coach in the game today?

    I think so.
Took one star and four underclassmen named Mo to the final 4 for the second time in three years, with the exception of an occasional technical due to his Irish temper, never makes coaching mistakes.

He isn't called the 'maker of men' for nothing.

Please, the Duke brand name gets him the players, K couldn't do at UConn what Cal does.

    Refresh my memory:
Who played in the 1999 title game, and who were the coaches, and who won?

Who played in the 2004 semi finals, who were the coaches, who won that game, and what coach won the next game after that to win the title?

Calhoun was also a 10-poiint underdog in the 1999 final, and an underdog in the 2004 semifinal.

Definitely in the top 5 for sure. Great coach.

UConn will find that out after he retires.

UConn was +10 in the 1999 final. I think Duke had only lost twice heading into the final.

In the 2004 semifinals, can't recall the line but think Duke was -4. Anyone recall that line?
