    Fire Eric Spoelstra

    Let's start by saying I didn't have one nickel on the game and I hate both teams. JJGold started the thread last week about "Should he be fired?"....but this is the FIRE HIM thread.

    After watching this game, it's very apparent that Spoelstra is getting no response from his Big Three and a change needs to be made. Even if we overlook the fact that no one is responding to him...here is fact #2

    Miami down 1, inbounding the ball on Chicago's half of the court. With 15 seconds left on the playclock and the shot clock off....YOU HAVE TO LEAVE TIME TO EXTEND THE GAME!

    Some will argue they did so (hence, DWade's second chance), but this just isn't the case. I don't have a problem with the play call, with isolation LeChoke vs. Noah but he has to do something with the ball a little quicker. Now, either one of two things happened:

    1) Spoelstra told LeChoke he wanted last shot (which is the wrong call)

    2) Spoelstra told LeChoke he wanted enough time to extend the game with enough time for last possession down 2 or 3 points after free throws (LeChoke disregarded what he said)

    Either way...he either made the wrong call or his players disobeyed him. His theory is off or his players don't trust him. Regardless of which, Riley needs to be back on the sidelines.

    The guy is there to fail, just so Riley can take over and be the hero. Let the team mesh and ultimatley fail, while Riley takes over when they need help. They need help now. Can't beat good teams.

    There wont be any firing for a couple reason.
    First, its too late in the season. Coaching changes late in the year, in any sport, dont amount to anything.
    Second, why would Riley come back. He doesnt have the hubris to think his coaching ability is spectacular enough to take this team anywhere in the playoffs. He understands this roster needs some work, and will make moves int he off season.

    Firing Spoelstra will accomplish nothing. The Heat are not built to beat good teams. They are gimmicky. Bosh signing was a waste of money.

    how bout there just not that good, they have lebron (who has made d wade worse not better) and bosh who is prob the softest big man out there. they have no true bigs and thats why they will fail. dont think changing coaches will change anything , lebron will not listen to anyone , been that way since high school

    Anything less then a title this year and the Heat will be a failure. But importantly, LeBron, Bosh, and to a lesser extent Wade will be laughingstocks and look like fools. Someone has to take the blame, and you damn sure know it won't be the Three Stooges.

    There is no way in hell Heat will win this year. Spoelstra will get fired, and they will simply bring in another coach to fail at his attempt to get Queen James his title.

    I hope all these so called "Superteams" fail to get a title. It seems to be the new trend in the NBA now, and will only get worse in the upcoming years.

    The local Miami radio has been saying that Spoelstra screws around too much with the starting lineup. He'll start Big Z for a few minutes and then you never see him again.

    So easy to blame a coach. Spoelstra is no Phil Jackson. Like people said was not constructed correctly, but what can you do with a limited payroll. Front office has done a very poor job to this point. You can point at alot of different reasons why they are losing. Coaching isn't even in the top five reasons why they are so bad.

    LOL, blamming the coach who's job is done during practice to get the team ready to play, which I think he has done a good job of overall and even of late during the losing streak, they have had a few leads at the break during this meltdown.

    Instead of blamming him, here is an idea, blame the worthless, lazy fks who make millions of dollars for laying down and having no heart down the stretch. And while I"m at it, why don't you blame Ledumb Ledumb for not being able to knock down a meaningful shot; guy couldn't hit one if his life depending on it.

    Not the coach's fault at all, its the worthless fks who make millions that can't close out games.

    there arent but a few teams who couldnt benefit from having riley as a coach, that is true...but what is also true, is the fact that the coach isnt the main problem with this heat team... so many clueless opinions on this topic its crazy... the thought process of "if they win, they got great players and talent"..."if they lose, the coach sucks" this is purely amateur and if you dont realize it, you have no business making opinions...like the poster above stated, coaching doesnt make baskets and play defense...and yes, bosh is a fukking bum and is a lazy horrible fit for this team right now...
