-Portland has the statistical edge......looking at the current situation; stephen jackson, the bobcats swingman is out today, and charlotte is playing B2B.
-looking below at bobcats first quarters and the effect stephen jackson has on their success, they are able to win when jackson contributes. Looking at the recent results this becomes more apparant as they are missing crash (wallace), there offense works through stephen jackson. when, he becomes ineffective charlottes offense becomes stagnant (at least on the road).
-Portland is as a tough place to play as any; I would expect charlotte to be sluggish and ineffective without jackson and wallace, combined with a portland team hungry to get back on track after two home losses. portland is looking at the eight seed, while bobcats are an unmotivated bunch.
-In last years matchup portland owned the game from the get-go, and that was against a better charlotte team.

-3.5 is huge for the 1st quarter. stats can say 1 thing but big underdogs start off strong in the 1stq/half sometimes to give themselves a chance at the finish.
-3.5 is a lot but just looking at the lineup, makes you think there is gonna be an onslaught. I wudnt concern myself with other underdogs coming up big in the first half b/c charlotte is an horrible situation here. there a D league team against a tough talented, hungry portland team
theres a lack of experience, i dont wanna rely on players like kwame brown and diaw for "leadership" and to lead by example, not gonna happen. there also way mismatched downlow, gonna open up the shooters
