I know this is a pretty degenerate game to be betting on, but the rookies at +7.5 seems tempting! I like the fact that the rookies have Bledsoe/Cousins/Wall who all played together at UK, and I'm guessing the coaching staff will do whatever they can to get them all on the floor at the same time. I think player for player, the sophomores have a bit more talent, but not 8 points more worth in my opinion.

Anyone else have thoughts here?

Yeah he did. It is all about how much nerve your guards have. Him and Jennings were very nervy last year. Defense is very lax so if your guards want to take it to the hole a ton of times, they pretty much can. Much harder to play team ball in a game like this. You don't want your team getting too cute, not at first anyway.

Evans being out is big, but Jennings still worries me. Don't know how Matthews will behave.

Mathews seems like he gets his stuff within the offense. This is more of a pick up game. Jennings worries me, but I feel like he is gonna be passing more then scoring. I remember him doing it in the McDonalds All American game. He didn't even look at the hoop once.

The words rookie and sophomore have no meaning at all. If it is rookies against veterans then I can see how important the wager is. With a game like this, just look at the line up. Rookies are going to have fun. This type of game is showcasing on rookies. Sophomores already had their limelight last year when they were rookies so blah on sophomores.

I don't have evidence but I feel like the totals are set ridiculously high and so it doesn't go over very often. Last year I think it just barely went over because Blair went OFF.

I like the Under on this one. 255 points is a helluva lot and it means there will have to be players from either team knocking the 3 ball down consistently. Neither team has many players that pose big threats outside to be knocking down 7 or 8 3s.
