Something i will be trying out, it's 2-0 for me thus far, maybe I'm onto something... maybe I just got lucky lol. Here it is:

haltime system:

1. Teams must be within 10 points of one another at the half
2. Combined total must be at or between 98-104
3. halftime line must be AT LEAST 3 points from the half time score to be a play.
4. Only play the over
5. Of course if there are any significant injuries in the first half it's a no play.


Example: Boston @ Lakers, sunday january 30th

1. LA 54 - Bos 50 = within 10 points of each other
2. 50 + 54 = 104 = at 104
3. Halftime line was 93, which is more than 3 points from the first half total.
4. Play the over. The second half line was 93 and the actual score was boston 59 - la 42 = 101 = winner.

The thought process is that if they're within 10 points, overtime is always a possibility. Also, if they are within 10 points it's not as though only one team was scoring.




2-0 thus far, The first bet tonight that qualifies is dallas and wash. I put a unit on the over just for the hell of it. To be clear, here's why the dallas wash game is a candidate.

1. they are within 10 points of one another
2. They are at 99 points at the half, which qualifies.
3. The halftime line is 95.5 which is more than 3 points of the halftime total.

dallas wash over 95.5 is the system play

haha, yeah i was thinking if you use my system and tweak it so that plays under 98 and over 104 play the under, but too much thinking involved lol

Nah, you don't want to make it too complex and confuse things. Keep it simple. BOL to your system.

thanks.. go figure the first system bet i play and post is a loser. Lost by a half point, but at least it was close. I will continue tracking this. 2-1 isn't a bad start.

the bucks and clippers is a no play because the halftime line is only 2 away from the actual halftime total. if the total moves to 93 or lower however, it will become a small play.

I like this system. I've been using something very close to this and so far its 8-5-1. Both games tonight(dallas loss and denver push) would have easily gone over but for ice cold shooting in the last couple minutes. I'm keeping track of my first 100 bets to see if it might be worth further study

Well at least it looks like i'm on the right track. The game between the clippers and bucks was only a half point away from being a play and it ended up going well over. Be back tomorrow with (hopefully) some more winners.

that's a good idea, but if i tracked 100 now i'd be all out of games to bet lol. I'll probably play every system play for the first 20 and if it's going well continue or else I'll adjust it and start from scratch.

After going over about 2 months of scores I will adjust my system slightly. All the rules still apply except I'm now including scores of 94, 95, 96, and 97 and making them playable. Scores of 94-96 must be within 3 of the halftime line. scores of 97-104 must be within 4 points. Here is a chart to help clear it up.



Half time score must be Half time line

94 = 91 or less
95 = 92 or less
96 = 93 or less
97 = 93 or less
98 = 94 or less
99 = 95 or less
100 = 96 or less
101 = 97 or less
102 = 98 or less
103 = 99 or less
104 = 100 or less

no it wouldn't be a play. It has to be 4 points lower or more. So for it to be a play the halftime line would have had to been 98. We're always looking the line to be under what they score in the first half.

Ahh, I see. I misunderstood the wording of #3. I've always been terrible at betting totals/halves, so I'll be watching to see how this goes. Best of luck with the tweaking of your system.

I kind of based this system on the fact the teams are scoring in the 23-27 range per quarter. I don't know if I should be be stressed when a team as good as san antonio scores 34 points in the second half, or if i should be relieved knowing that more often then not they will put up their share. Anyways, looks like the system will be o for 2 tonight. Piss poor offense from sac and san an killed everything.
