    Nba mvp?

Who do you guys think is on pace to be this year's NBA Season MVP? I am getting +250 odds for Kevin Durant but have to have the bet in by tomorrow through my local. I think he is ahead in voting at the moment, figure I would run it through the NBA forum to see what you guys think!
    Thanks!

Dwight Howard should be up there to. He doesn't get the credit he deserves sometimes. His defense and rebounding alone should be enough to consider him.

If Rondo was healthy all year he should be up there too. Why not? They gave it to Nash 2 years in a row for playing the same type of game. Except Rondo's defense is only 30324 times better then Nash.

I think if Durant continues to lead the league in scoring. He will win it.

But with the performance of the Cavs and Heat without Lebron, he seems to be the biggest "Valuable Player".

I don't know about that. The Cavs best 2 players have been out for most of the season. And it's always a big adjustment when you lose a player who had the ball as much as Lebron. They have to adjust to a totally new type of offense and it takes some time to get used to.
And in the NBA, effort is one of the most important things. In this league it's not a guarantee that the guys are going to 'try' every night. After they lost Lebron, i think it took the heart out of them and might have created a 'what are we really playing for anymore' type of attitude. Especially when you go that quickly from the top of the league to the middle or below.
