    Pool contest

    The regular season is right around the corner and I will be running a weekly pool contest. I should have the first contest up sometime over the weekend. I'm thinking 20 betpoints to enter. What do you guys think?

    Let's say 25 people play. 20 points per player means the total prize pool will be 500 points. This will be a weekly contest with spreads and totals being offered. Prizes will be split depending on the ammount of entrants.

    I'm always up for an NBA contest at 20 pts per week. I would advise to have just sides and totals since lucky ML long-shot punters can steal the pot in small games. If you have 40 or so selections per week with a set amount of big bets (at double or triple the regular amount) it would be enough to tamp down the effects of the ML long-shooters.

    If you have the plays hidden until tip-off then there will be no game-players taking advantage.
