Tonight's game is NOT MEANINGLESS for the Hornets!

They get to decide their fate, essentially. Denver's a lock to beat Memphis (provided it's a meaningful game). So, the Hornets pretty much hold their first round fate in their hands. I see three likely scenarios:

If they're indifferent about whether they face Dallas or Denver in the first round, they'll almost surely lose tonight.

If they want Dallas in the first round, they'll probably tank tonight.

If, however, they really want Denver in the first round, they might treat this like a playoff game.

    Another interesting angle:

If Dallas would rather face the Lakers than the Hornets, they might tank tonight.

Ladies and gentleman, we could see two teams trying to tank the same game! How wild and wacky would that be? lol

This is all too much for me, any other opinions?

I think Dallas would rather play the hornets so they will want to win tonight, Hornets might even rest starters alot in this one and not show to much to the mavs

But who knows its the NBA and anything can happen

You are right on all counts, making this game one fat PASS.

    Does it make sense ???

Normally when you kinda like a team to win, it almost always hits. Thus you always end up kicking yourself. So with that said Dallas must be the play !!!

Good, Hornets play Dallas in the first round. I like my boys' chances more than against Denver.
