NL just yet but this is a big revenge game for Dallas. Mavs were embarassed by Kobe who laid 61 on them or something crazy like that in their last meeting in LA. Lakers really struggling on this road trip have lost 4 of L5 but not only loosing but getting blown out. Their only win on the trip was against the horrible Knicks. With the revenge factor this can easily be another double diget loss so if you get a line under 8 let's say I would take it.
Atlanta/Detroit
I hate to bet against Detroit but I hate to count on Atlanta to cash a ticket. If you got to play this one consider that Detroit has failed to cover in 7 of the L9 and they admit to being worn down during their current road trip. Atlanta on the other had has been playing better having won 3 of L4 SU. Pistons have a big game vs the Clippers at home on Wednesday and they might for focused more on getting home than on beating the lowly Hawks.
Clippers/Knicks
Clippers playing great baskeball but they have been on the road a long time and they have a big game Wednesday in Detroit and now they are being asked to cover 7points. Knicks are horrible and Marbury my be out again. Jalen Rose is capable of putting up enough points to make up for Marbury's absense but it's real tough to count and a team that has failed to cover 2-10 L12 ATS and 1-11 L12 Su.
Mem/Sac
Both teams really struggling. Memphis is a very difficult team to handicap because the do play good defense night in night out but their offense is very inconsistant. They are 3-9 L12 SU and in this game they are the favorite. The Queens are much better at home than on the road and have a little momentum going as the have won 2 of L4. This may not be relavent anymore but Sacramento has owned Memphis having beaten the 17 out of 18 times SU in Sacramento going back to 1996!
I don't see a side play that gets me all hot and bothered but if anybody else has an angle I am all ears.
Rich I like your reasoning on the first 3 games. SAC are on my off list.
NY and ATL to cover 7 and 10 is very likely.
Also Dalas to blow away the Lakers, but it will be a 4th blowout in a row for the Lakers so be careful. Dallas will slip soon, i won't play -10 for sure.
All in all today's games are not for big money plays.
Hey AD. In case you didn't know Tyrone Lue hurt his knee in practice yesterday and will be out of an extended period. Hawks have played better lately due to his return from injury. I would still pass on laying the 10 with Detroit just cause I don't like to play big favorites on the road but Lue does make a difference for Atlanta and Pistons are coming off a loss. I always look for reasons not to play a game and this one plus the other three have a several so I am offiially passing on NBA tonight. Gonna jump on the back of our collage boys and pick up some units that way.
Good writeups Alamorich. I'm initially liking Atlanta +10 and maybe Dallas with the handicap. Not really comfortable laying double digit for a favorite, but Dallas is really strong and balanced team and Lakers missing Odom and Mihm. Even 50-60 points from Kobe might not be enough to cover this one for lakers
I do think the revenge factor is significant in this one plus everybody hates Kobe and the Lakers anyway so Dallas will bring their A game. I layed double digets last night and went 1-1 so I'll do it..just don't like to do it often. I wouldn't fault you at all for playing Dallas tonight. It's the only game where there are good situation factors all pointing the same way. Lakers short handed...long road trip...red hot team at home wanting some payback.
