Center Andris Biedrins woke up suffering from appendicitis and was scheduled to undergo surgery in the evening. The Warriors gave no official prognosis, but based on other players' experience, he's expected to miss up to two weeks.

When the Warriors take the floor tonight against the Atlanta Hawks, they will be without Biedrins for the first time in 142 games, a stretch that dates to April 11, 2006, when he came back from a four-game absence because of a sprained left ankle.
