Just a heads up fellas....

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao is expected to miss at least three weeks with a sprained left ankle, the team announced Wednesday.

Varejao was evaluated by the team's doctor in Cleveland on Tuesday night when it was determined that the forward's sprained ankle also had bone bruises. The team estimates that Varejao will be out for three-to four-weeks and will remain in Cleveland to rehabilitate the ankle.

Varejao injured his ankle during the third quarter of Sunday's Cleveland victory over the Lakers when he accidentally stepped on the foot of Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic.

X-rays taken at the Staples Center were negative, and the Cavaliers said an MRI taken Monday showed no additional injury beyond the sprain.

Last week, the Cavaliers lost starting guard Sasha Pavlovic for at least six weeks with a left mid-foot sprain.

The Cavaliers (24-19), who have won 12 of 15 and five straight on the road, are already without starting guard Sasha Pavlovic for at least six weeks with a left mid-foot sprain.

Varejao has been having one of his best seasons despite not joining the team until early December because of a contract holdout. The mop-haired Brazilian averaged 7.8 points and 8.5 rebounds in 22 games.
