San Antonio Spurs +1
The San Antonio Spurs are going to rely on Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker to carry the load while center Tim Duncan is off the court tonight continuing to nurse his leg injury. Duncan sprained his leg and knee on Sunday vs. Portland and has not played since. San Antonio has won 16 in a row vs. the Jazz in the regular season and 19 in a row playing in the Lonestar state and have the edge in tonight’s game to continue that run. The Spurs are coming off a comeback 97-95 win against the Mavericks at home and are playing some of the best two way basketball in the league with or without Duncan. The Utah Jazz are proving to be one of the top offenses in the league scoring 107 points per game. Tonight that 4th ranked offense will meet with the 3rd ranked defensive unit of the Spurs that are looking for revenge against the Jazz tonight after losing to Utah on November 26th on the road. Many motivational factors and statistical factors point to the San Antonio Spurs. They are listed at +1 for tonight game and will take this one outright for the cover.

Golden State Warriors -8.5
The Golden State Warriors are coming off their biggest win of the season over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Warriors hammered the Bucks 120-90 and shot 52.3 percent from the field. Golden State showed that their Phoenix Suns like run and gun style of playing can take advantage of teams in a big way. Tonight the Warriors will host the Miami Heat who play a similar style to the Bucks. Both the Heat and Bucks like to play small ball utilizing their big men inside (Shaq and Bogut) and when that stops working give the ball to their superstars (Wade and Redd) to make plays. The Golden State defense is just too fast for the Heat to handle. Heat forwards will get into foul trouble reaching in and failing to move their body into position to stop the Warriors penetration because that’s what happens when your tired. The Heat are coming off their 3rd road loss in a row last night to Portland where their comeback attempt was cut short but a late run. The Warriors can play their style almost 9 men deep into the bench and it will be simply too much for an under achieving worn out Heat team. The Heat have been terrible after a high scoring affair failing to cover the spread 6 times in a row after scoring over 100 points in their last game. Golden State will win by double digits tonight.
