Nice hits Adriano and imgv94. Thanks to Portland for saving my day. As it looked to be a high scoring game in NY i took a last minute play on Portland ml +232 with one unit on top of my Portland +5.5 so ended up even for today. Really liked them today...
Wow, good hit guys on those who played Blazers. I would never have any confidence to bet on them for anything and they are my home team ;p
Watched the game on TV tonight. Kobe was being his usual ballhog self trying to get 45+ points again but Blake and Ruben did a nice combo job switching off on him. I was more rooting for them to stop him from getting that then them winning the game LOL. I am the biggest Kobe hater in the world. He kept on gunning contested 3 pointers trying to try to get there, was a funny site. He was the reason his team had no chance of winning. 3 for 13! He shouldn't have even gotten up to 30 points but got some bullshit calls on Pryzbilla, like 4 of his 5 fouls were utter crap on Kobe. Oh well, at least it wasn't his usual 20+ free throw attemps.
Steve Blake was sick...7 of 10 from field for 19 points, 9 assists and ZERO turnovers. And guarded Kobe a great deal of the time great. I think Telfair has no chance to reclaim his starting job now...even Jarrett Jack is getting more minutes than him and probably rightfully so.
There was an interesting detail i happened to read about Lakers-Portland matchup which did give me even more confidence about my play:
"there is one player in Blazers roster which nickname is "Kobe Stopper" . His real name is Ruben Patterson and he plays at small forward position.
It is very interesting when you see that Patterson was drafted by Lakers in '98 . Now this 31 years old player is one of better in Portland . In last five games he is averaging 15.6 pts. Here is what Patterson thinks about Kobe : "Every time he sees me, he fears me," he said . Patterson will be looking to shut down Bryant, his Los Angeles teammate when he was a rookie in 1998-99. The duo used to face off in practice, and Patterson said he was motivated to play hard because Bryant was arrogant"
