Yeah the LeBron factor and the AD factor makes those 2 teams dangerous in a playoff format but Nuggets may prove to be too deep. Jokic has to stop having these games where he defers to everyone and takes 4 shots. It'll be interesting before those teams run into the Warriors.

How about the East? I was down on Philly before the year but I think they're a real tough out with Jimmy. They get 1 more reliable shooter on that team and they really have something.
Sixers are a legitimate threat in the East with Butler now but they have issues that won’t just disappear. For one, the bench stinks. They need another backup PG and a backup forward. Ben Simmons is the elephant in the room. Dynamic awesome player but he literally does not shoot jumpers. Like he won’t do it. And he is afraid to go to the line late in games. So what you get is him playing passively sometimes and that’s a big problem. It rears its ugly head from time to time - you saw it in the series with Boston last year. The Simmons/Embiid pairing is always going to be an awkward fit as long as Ben isn’t willing to shoot the ball. But to be fair, he’s an incredible playmaker and his defense is underrated. Butler brings a lot of clout to the team. He’s been there done that. You can rely on him in big moments. He’s already hit two game winning shots.

The East will be fun to watch. Toronto and Boston are probably a notch above but Philly and Milwaukee are right there. Indiana will always be a tough out.

Just when the game 200% looks like ref trying to give it to the Kings, they butch some calls on them

Good stuff. I saw someone arguing yesterday that Giannis being willing to take jumpers even though he bricks most of them is something Ben should look to do as well. Might be a good point.

Agreed there are no sure things. I'm really kerping an open mind as to who I'll be backing when the time comes.

no offense to op. i like his threads and they are typically food for thought.. but the clips are a vet team that plays 12 guys against an extremely young team that is wildly inconsistent. b2b or national tv were not factors in this game as clippers bench avg 54ppg leading the league. and they are vets who in a close game plays defense and can close against this younger team. and the b2b was phoenix and sac lol. seto punk ass was the one chiming in and making issue.
