0-2 day yesterday, Rangers never showed up and the Raptors covered by the hook -.- losing by a half point is a terrible feeling. Moving on.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston celtics // Feb 27

Tip off

Two of the top five teams in the Eastern Conference square off tonight when the Atlanta Hawks (32-26) head to Beantown and take on the Boston Celtics (38-21). The Celtics are in second place in the conference and are just three games behind the forever-favourited Cleveland Cavaliers. The Hawks sit fifth in the East and are 5.5 games behind the Celtics.

Wounded Hawks

The Hawks are 4-6 in their last 10 games, but head into Boston on a three-game losing streak. They are 2-4 in their last 6 road games but have a positive record in the 2016-17 campaign with an away record of 16-14.

The Hawks need to find their form fast. After starting the season on a 9-2 run, they have been downright average. They are 10-10 in their last 20 games and 23-24 since their hot start. In their last two games, the Hawks have lost by an average of 18.5. First they fell to the Heat 108-90, and they are coming off a poor outing against the Magic on Saturday, 105-86

Luck of the Irish

The Celtics are the only team in the East with the potential to really put pressure on the Cavs. The Toronto Raptors and the Washington Wizards are both three games back from the Celtics. So as long as neither of them flounder down the stretch, the East is looking like a two-horse race.

The Celtics are 7-3 in their last 10 games and have been playing consistent ball from quite a while. They are 12-3 in their last 15 games and have won six home games in a row. On the year they are 20-8 at TD Gardens. Their offence is their strongest asset. In four out of their last 5 wins, the Celtics have scored 111 points or more. They are the 6th highest scoring team in the league and rank third in assists. Simply put: if they score, they win.

The Final Breakdown

Boston can score, and Atlanta has been struggling defensively. Atlanta has only won 5 of their last 17 in Boston, while the Celtics have been able to put up constant wins when playing on the second game of a back to back (9-2 in their last 11, 5-1 ATS in their last 6).

Look for Boston to take care of business tonight as they chase the Cleveland Cavs in the standings.
