NBA is tough, very tough to cap..
I have fired on all cylinders but unable to catch the bull by the horns.. I must admit.. I'm like a wounded soldier who has fallen flat (though not dead) but unable to pick the Gun & shoot again...
My system MAX does give me lot of good numbers but still end of the day it all depends on how players shoot (%) on any given night..
No wonder, books are making all the money as they are taking bets on both sides and can digest their losses in the long run whereas we common bettors have to take the beating if we have 3-4 consecutive losses..( unless you are betting a $1 bet and just keeping track of your win loss record like some intelligent souls on this forum).
What I have understood so far is
-for some games even Bookies have absolutely have no idea who will win & they play their game accordingly and invite bets on both sides..
- for some games, Bookies have a big lean towards one side & they encourage bettors to take opposite side so that they make all the profit ( I'm normally looking for such type of games where my system also giving out numbers in favor of team bookies are leaning to) BUT even then the team end up losing the spread sometimes and that's where I'm losing & not able to catch up with the Books.. ( today's clippers Vs Portland is the classic example)
For today's game I have following numbers but then
a) CLE by 12
b) ATL by 9.9
c) CHI by 11.5
d) GSW by 9.8
e) PHX by 3.7
f) POR by 2.4
As per my common sense books are leaning towards CHI and GSW based on my set of observations ( line movement etc) so I might play these two games but then they are not 100% guaranteed plays like what I said earlier, a lot depends on how teams perform on any given night & that can't be predicted..
No wonders its so hard to win betting.. ( as a long term career)..
You might wanna convince yourself that "IM TRADING, INVESTING AND NOT GAMBLING SINCE IM STUDYING THE PATTERN ANALYSING THE TREND AND DATA" but BELIEVE ME ITS ALL "BS"..
IM not trying to discourage the fellow bettors but I just felt like sharing something off my chest for your awareness and information..
I know lots of swords & guns will be out (as always on this forum) to shoot me down for this post..
Lastly, I am almost winding up this whole betting business soon and will be on my way to continue my shipping job that fetched me all good things in life.. Too bad I can't say the same abt betting even though I had a few good successful days to count a few good moments...
I might not post anything anymore.. unless things start clicking again before I exhaust all my remaining bankroll ( about $3000 still left to be invested or traded but with my $500 single bet it might be over soon I guess)...
