Has Luke Walton ever talked about

Why he always has starters like Klay Thompson in when his team's up by 15-25 points with 2 minutes left in regulation?

Watched a ton of Golden State games this year. I don't get it.

Maybe it starts to show after the all star break and this team starts to wither a little, might be some value there, might result in some injuries and/or being worn down, gonna keep a close eye.

    It was a question.

I didn't have any money on this game. Just something I've noticed.

For sure I'll just make a guess maybe he wanted klay to play full minutes. Klay starts but is not always in the starting rotation

As far as their regular rotation goes, Steve Kerr always tried to keep one of the main scorers on the court at all times so the offense wouldn't get stagnant.

I was also surprised to see Klay out there so late but I would imagine Luke was just checking out how some of the reserves played with him, specifically Ian Clark who filled in for Barbosa real nicely tonight and could be gaining on Livingston for minutes

Ive noticed that NC. Its as if the Warriors are trying to make sure they get their 3 Warriors in the All Star game. It will be interesting to see what happens after the break.

Yea the Spurs do it right. They could probably have 3 or 4 losses if they cared the same about the regular season. They bring 3/4 a team to every game.

I thought the question was gonna be about Kerr. The whole situation is bizarre. He coached GSW to the title last year, but it is somewhat likely he is not gonna be coaching this team again. Reminds me of Manning's situation with the Broncos.

Who cares how "stagnant" your offense is when you're up by 15-25 in garbage time?

Good to see Kerr following the same pattern.

Klay splashing away 3's on a hopeless Dallas team up 20 with under 3 minutes left.

    No mercy.

Wouldn't think it was so harmless if Klay tore up his knee for no reason whatsoever during garbage time.

Mark Jackson would do the same thing. Exhibitions, regular season, it didn't matter. Thompson just likes to play.
