Was curious when you backtested JM's system a year or so ago if you ever broke it down to the win percentages of the A, B and C bets? If so, would you be willing to share? I am basically wanting to know if it would be profitable to just bet the B and C bets of JM 1-7-5 at 5 to 10% of your bankroll, similar to what is being done in Grinder's thread.

You know that that 1-7-5 system is only one variation of the main system? And it's sole purpose is to get higher return, not to be conservative. Play the other two, if you have doubts about 1-7-5.

And Wallco actually never said that (A) bets hit at higher rate. He said that "it's the most profitable", which does not necessarily mean that it hits at the highest rate. It might as well hit a bit lower rates, but with much bigger sample size, which would ultimately be way more profitable than hitting 60% among 10 games (just an example).

Because a system loss, with too heavy of a bet early on in series, could result in a VERY LARGE loss amount for that series. It's 26.52 units per loss the way I do it now. This only requires 3 1/2 (B) bet wins or 5 1/2 (C) bet wins to make money back for each loss. The (A) bets are just the gravy that slowly add up. I tested four bet strategies at once, and 1-7-5 unfiltered prevailed.

.5% to 1% of your entire BR is probably about as large as you want to get but it is solely up to you. As wallco just stated, one loss is roughly 26.5 units, meaning on any given loss using a 1% unit you will lose a quarter of your bankroll. Keep in mind there will be days where there could be 3-5 chases going on at any one time so you will want to make sure you have enough in the bank to cover all chases.

In this circumstance I believe Wallco postpones the 2nd starter until the other series is complete. Our biggest risk then is a possible loss of 1 unit. So, yes, I will pass on Utah until the Miami series is complete.

Utah is not postponed. Utah would only be on their (B) bet during Miami (D) bet. Had both teams been a (D) bet, then yes, we would wait on Utah series. Even though I have a tendency to suspend series with dueling (D) bets, you really don't have to, since one team is M/L and one team gets points. System grades all series since backtest had no way of knowing when these series occurred.

We will ALWAYS play the M/L on favorites and the point spread (-110) on dogs. The team underlined and highlighted blue is the play. There is no point buying in this system, with one exception, if your team is the favorite, and buying down to a (-½) point spread is cheaper than playing the M/L, then by all means, buy the points, otherwise, M/L on all favorites and point spread on dogs. All results will be based on this principle. All lines and standings are based on FINAL lines from ScoresandOdds.com/. If one of the teams we are playing switches from a favorite to a dog, after my initial post, make sure you get the appropriate line if it differs from what I have posted. The wins and losses will be based on who is the dog team, and who is the favorite on ScoresandOdds.com/ final lines. I will try to update my post as often as I can throughout the day if the lines do change. However, it is the individual bettor’s responsibility to get the appropriate line if it differs from the line in my post.

Utah is not postponed. Utah would only be on their (B) bet during Miami (D) bet. Had both teams been a (D) bet, then yes, we would wait on Utah series. Even though I have a tendency to suspend series with dueling (D) bets, you really don't have to, since one team is M/L and one team gets points. System grades all series since backtest had no way of knowing when these series occurred.

Thanks for the clarification. I seem to remember your original description where we only bet competing "A" bets and skip all others, but I may be remembering it wrong.

I kind of changed that over the years but never corrected it in the rules. System has always counted all games, but whether or not we played all was discretionary.
