    Warriors -2.5 @ atl?

    With Horford out, you'd think GSW would clearly be the better team. They've been playing much better on the road as of late winning their last 4. Anyone think they are due for a let down or should we POUND IT

    Pounding Warriors.. I can't see ATL scoring enough to stay with them. Inside presence of Bogut/Lee should keep Millsap from dominating and I can see Iguodala and Barnes providing good exterior defense. Only thing that worries me will be ATL's fresh legs.

    Also I don't think fatigue is THAT big of a factor right now, its not even half way into the season. The Warriors are a young team so I don't think a back to back scenario should hurt them that much.

    After beating the Heat in Miami the last two year, the Warriors lost to the Magic twice in the very next game. But they seem to own the Hawks. Makes you go hmmmmm.

    Warriors will either lose this or against the Wizards in their next game. There is only a very small chance they will lose to Bucks or Nets.

    As an Atlanta local let me give you my opinion on the Hawks. They have played 3 games without Horford - going 1-0 at home and 1-1 on the road. In their only home game they were down 15+ points to the Bobcats in the 2nd half. They were able to shoot their way back into it and win in OT--which appears to be their new identity. A bunch of 3 pt shooters playing around Teague and Millsap, who both can get to the basket and shoot 3s as well. I think the only way the Hawks beat the spread is if their 3 pt shooting is hot like it was that game. Charlotte is one of the worst 3 pt defenses in the league. Golden State is one of the best. I really don't see the Hawks losing by less than 5-7 here but if their shooters get hot they could prove me wrong.

    They were also down big in their other win since Horford went down (against the Celtics) and came back to win. I don't think they can keep getting down and coming from behind, I think it was more luck and hot shooting than anything. I'm putting money on Golden State -3.

    Fourth game in five days for the Warriors and they're coming off a big win. Public will be all over the Warriors tomorrow so there's likely to be line movement, it's fade or Hawks for me.

    Warriors are up to -3 or -150 @ betonline.. glad I took it at -2.5 not that it should matter. I agree with your most of what's been said here. Blstrick thanks for the insight, kinda what I was thinking too. ATL relies on the jumpshot now that Horford is out and I don't think they've been that impressive since he's been gone.

    Last year they beat the Heat on the road and then fell to Orlando, but the year before that the results were the same while both games the Warriors were home. And I wouldn't say they OWN the Hawks... But I do like them in this game, regardless of B2B, 4th straight road game, etc. They are simply on a TEAR right now, and Atlanta may have won 8 of their last 9 at home, but all except one of those were with Horford.

    Don't know if this means much but Warriors are 1-4 on Fridays, 1-5 on b2b and the Hawks are 5-1 on Fridays and especially good at home.

    Normally I would take that into consideration ses_d, but the Warriors are currently on a 7 game winning streak. Also, the Hawks are without their centerpiece in Al Horford, so I'm not sure if that is applicable.

    alright, after watching this game.. there's no way the warriors can compete for a championship. They turn the ball over way too much. Doesn't matter how well they shoot, no way they're going to do that in a 7 game series.
