    December 10th

    Game 2

    8th Seed Phoenix Suns 114 - Lakers 108 *__
    (LOSS)

the Lakers Record with His Kobe-ness0-2*(.000)

    game notes:
d'Antoni took the ball out of Kobe's hands. (finally)
that is the only reason they cracked 100, and why they only lost by single digits.
Last game, every inbounded directly to Kobe, who took the ball up himself, every possession
he was in the game for (even tho' he is not the PG).*

this might help the Lakers. Increasingly, Kobe's influence and power and eroding.
He used to be able to make that call. and he can't anymore. Mostly people inbounded to Blake, a natural PG

more game notes: Kobe wants to focus on consistency.
I don't know why.. what is more consistent that .000 win percentage game-after-game?

Lakers were a good fade at half time. Suns +3 for the 2nd half, I factored in the home cooking but had a feeling PHX would prevail and the did.

umm why are you trying to short KOBE!?!? and make him look bad

    KOBE had 20 ASSISTS!!

7 to the THUNDER.. (that's 14 pts right there)

and 13 to his own team

I have to give you that...Kobe did not try and force the issue...most of his turn overs were attempted passes...only 4 pts but he only shot the ball 6 times....interestingly enough, i don't think he went to the line tonight...Refs were not involved in this affair....but yeah..13 assists is 13 assists......he played point guard tonight for sure..

to answer both.. yes.. 13 Assists is 13 Assists..

but the fact remains that if he had any confidence in his shot..
he would have jacked everything up and finished with 2 Assists.*

he does not trust his shot anymore/// he KNOWS he's washed up... he knows it.

you can see it in his face.. he looks nervous. like "what do i do?"
i do not think we will see that Mumbah -tiger growly face anymore

You know at the beginning of this game, I had wondered who on earth was going to guard Westbrook. Kobe usually does not guard the more skilled players and when he does, its for short periods then he goes back to coasting and cherry picking...as he saves most of his energy for offense which is how he is able to average 20 plus pts per game at 34 years of age....

But tonight he was forced to guard Westbrook as Farmar and Blake are out....Russel nearly had a triple double but did not shoot a good percentage....Kobe continued to try and defend him...Kobe had nothing left on offense. and..at 35...it is no surprise...he finished with 4 pts total.....He is now being asked to become Andre Iguadala....fresh off an Achilles injury......yikes.....

excellents point!, all of them.. spot on. i had not done the math.. but you are right,
last year he avoided playing D, because he was just chasing the scoring title..
also, desperately chasing any record that Jordan has..

he really needs to pass Jordan or he will fall apart , never mind that Kobe has already played in almost 200 more games than Jordan did... and never mind that Jordan averaged 30.1 PPG over his entire career..

and that Kobe is only 25.5 PPG (and dropping fast) if Kobe plays his contract and extension out, maybe he will get that down to 22 PPG (no shot left, or move to basket)

tonite no energy for shooting. Westbrook to it out of him..

PS> maybe His-Kobeness is saving it for the playoffs ?!

He's very clever. you never know what His master plan is..*

I have always been a huge fan of Kobe Bryant, I have adored him forever. I just am not impressed with the way he's addressed this year entirely. I love his work ethic and drive to get back, but if he has that desire then he needs to be efficient. I have now learned I am a huge Laker fan, not Kobe fan this year.

It's upsetting to see him struggle, and I think he will be successful- eventually. I don't agree that they will be under .500, if you're going to state that he's a burden to this team, maybe now, but not forever.

Also, if you're going to require that he plays 20 minutes, then maybe you should give him the benefit of the doubt and start counting their record after 8 games, the length of the NBA preseason that others have to get the kinks out.

    That only seems fair...

    December 13th

    Game 3

    Oklahoma Thunder 122*- Lakers 97*__
    LOSS (what else?)

the Kobe-ness Record "0-3"*(.000%) model of Konsistency that coaches look for

    game notes:
    d'Antoni put KOBE on Westbrook
i think that D'Antoni hates Kobe (maybe friends with Jim Brown)
and is trying to expose him (boy did that work!)

Another poster (Menses) astutely pointed out that last year, Kobe did not waste time on "D" at all and saved all his energy for scoring (true).. but last night, playing opposite Westbrook (off a serious injury himself) was forced to play defense, and consequently had NOTHING left for offense.

So with Kobe it's one or the other, making him a serious liability at one side of the court either way. *

more game notes: Kobe is a "turnover factory"
kobe is generating untold turnovers, it's just too bad that turnovers are a bad thing.
Otherwise this would be a great stat for him.

So 7 turnovers...that may or may not translate into points...automatically count as 14 points against?? Why not 21 points?? The Thunder hit 8 three's, I'm sure seven of them were a direct result of a Kobe turnover somehow, someway~

You speak ad nauseam about how all Kobe does is look to score & kills ball movement by not passing. So when he moves the ball for 13 assists & only takes 6 shots it's because of a "lack of confidence"
Make UP your mind, should Kobe shoot everytime or should he work on "ball movement"

& you wonder why you r considered a laughingstock joke on this forum??

    Game 4

    LAKERS 88- Bobcats 85__WIN
    *(Bobcats)

    the Kobe-ness Record "1-3"*(.250%)*there goes*Konsistency*

    game notes:
*Lakers looked better, but this is the Bobcats
Good shooting by Kobe. high percentage, can't argue that.
Good passing, pity he has not done more of that in his career..
less pts for All-Time stats, but more Rings for sure.*

more game notes: Kobe still is a "turnover factory"
Kobe leading the NBA in Avg Turnovers per game. (6.3 ppg)
Bobcats are 10-14.. that might work against a sub.500 team,*
but not against anybody serious. This will likely change..

agreed.. the Bobcats missed ALL of their last 7 FG Attempts..

    1) complete choke

    2) bad team

take either of those circumstances away, and it's 0-4

Kobe is facilitating and picking his spots....he is now actually playing like Lebron as Phil Jackson asked of him a few years back...so we must give him credit for his performance....however, please take note

    Lakers Free Thows - 23

    Bobcats Free Throws - 8

And many of them coming late in the game down the stretch....Sorry Folks...The outcome of this game was decided by the REFS.......which I knew was coming as the NBA cannot afford to have the leagues highest paid player go on a 4 game loosing streak....its a bad look for the league.....The Bobcats had to be sacrificed as this kind of officiating may not save them against Warriors and Grizzlies whom they must play this coming week...Once again just like last year...the Lakers continue to bailed out by Stern and company when things start to go south...Kobe will be given all credit...as he "Leads the Lakers to victory".......

In reality, the Lakers should loose every game on this current road trip...but Stern will not allow it...The Lakers must remain within 2 or 3 games of the 8th seed...so they can screw Dallas or Minny out of a playoff spot to get Kobe into the 1st round as their is more money and ratings with his presence in the playoffs....Expect to see quite a bit of Joey Crawford..over the next couple of games...It is clear the Lakers do not have what it takes to compete now that Kobe has returned...so the league will step in and make sure they stay afloat....

Pau Needs to get out of LA immediately...Kobe has turned on him completely...On this play Kobe is much closer to Kemba Walker on the drive than Pau is...but refuses to make a play and allows an easy lay up...Watch as Kobe Screams at Pau instead of owning up to it...

Pau is lazy but Kobe is selfish...as he does not have the energy to be a two way player..and would rather coast on defense and conserve energy for offense....he did not play a lick of defense last night as he did not have the energy after chasing the human gazelle Russel Westbrook for 30 minutes the night before....but why should a Stretch 4 have to guard a 1? Kobe is the point guard...that's his job...Pau is at least 2-3 feet further away from Kemba...than Kobe is....take a look.
